Let’s be real — this knife looks awesome right out of the box. The full tang Serbian-style cleaver has some serious weight to it, and it chops like a champ. It’s quickly become my go-to knife for everything from prepping meats to slicing herbs.The set also includes a comically small bonus knife — it’s sharp, but more of a novelty. Might be useful for cutting herbs, packaging, or fishing line, but don’t expect it to handle much more than that.One thing I was really impressed with is the sheath. It’s high quality and makes storing the knife safe and worry-free. You can tell it was designed with care — the knife fits securely and the material feels durable.Overall, this knife is a win. Great craftsmanship, awesome weight, solid performance, and a cool look. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a serious blade in the kitchen or at the grill.

Never write reviews but this knife is a pretty good buy.If you want to know if the knife is good, yes it is. It’s solid steel with a good heft, comfortable handle, and sharp out of the box. You can use it for most kitchen tasks that call for a sharp, hefty blade. I made this my main kitchen knife and use it frequently. But that’s not why I wanted to write a review...I expected just the knife in the box but it comes with a full size leather sheath with a loop if you plan on taking it somewhere (think camping or cookout). Not amazing quality but it is leather and serves its purpose. Okay so that’s cool but there is more. This knife comes with…. A miniature version of the knife with, wait for it… it’s own leather sheath for storing and taking it on the go. This sounds like a gimmick but I found it actually pretty useful as a letter and box opener. It’s just a cool value add that’s actually nice to have, picture with quarter for scale included.They also include a whetstone for sharpening both blades. It’s pretty small and frankly I found it a bit scary trying to use the small stone. One slip up and I’d be sharpening the blade on my hand bones so I’d get a real set of sharpening stones to sharpen blades properly. That said, the sharpness out of the box was quite adequate and I’d expect it to hold up quite well if cared for.In closing, cool knife with a bit more than expected, great price for what you get!

Works great for chopping and heavy duty slicing. Sharp, holds an edge well. Nice weight.

I bought this specifically for when I prepare dog food for the month, 15-20 lbs. of diced chicken, sweet potato, peas and carrots. The 9" knife I was using was just too flimsy. This cleaver made dicing the chicken easier and faster. The results were a little less perfect but hey its dog food. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the balance, it is a heavy knife with a smaller size handle, although I have large hands, and the balance is a little more the edge side of the handle. I expect to use it more during barbecue months for larger cuts of meat as well. Heavy for more routine veggies or meat prep but really good for larger cuts of meat or when preparing larger quantities. I am happy with my purchase.

I had been researching this type of clever style knife for a while before I decided to buy this one. I caught it on one of Amazon's Black Friday deals and got a great deal on the knife! It is a very beefy knife, heavy duty indeed! We live in the country and do a lot of home cooking. I do have some other nice chef knives, but we did not have a large cleaver style knife to help make chopping celery, onions, peppers etc. an easier project. I must say the knife does not disappoint. Its size and weight make chopping a joy. Also it is extremely sharp! It came with a leather sheath with will protect the blade and a small sharping stone. Overall it is was an excellent purchase and highly recommend. 5 out 5 stars for sure.

Best meat cleaver at such a low price! Forged and holds an amazing edge! Comfortable and a forever knife!

Larger than I expected. I can't tell how sharp the blade is since it's a father's day gift.It does have a sharpening stone and a mini knife that comes with a little sheath.If the knife is not up to par once used a little while I will update my review. Is kind of heavy. I bought 2 styles and I'm not sure this one is going to be used as much as the smaller style which is a bit lighter and can probably do some finer cuts.Overall I hope this big knife will be great for large cuts of meat, splitting through bone, and chopping veggies.
