I seem to be swimming in older power equipment... It all works, and when it's the occasional use type, there's no point in buying a newer version. That does, however, lead to more maintenance headaches. I bought this the first time for an old rototiller that my father insisted we get running. Well before that could happen, he passed, and on the shelf it went, and the rototiller went at the estate auction.Well, a couple months later, the pull start rope broke on a generator, and it took the pulley with it. So, out with the spare on the shelf, and got that going again. I took a look around, and there were a bunch of similar vintage Briggs still around, so I ordered another to sit on the shelf. Low and behold, the pulley went on the log splitter. I'm getting good at these now. Only took me 20 minutes or so to get the cover off, recoil the spring, wind the rope, and get it all back in there, hopefully for another couple decades...So... Yep, time to order another.Came in a genuine sealed B&S box. The fit was what it should be for an OEM part. If you haven't had one of these recoil starters apart before, be very careful when you remove this pulley, the spring behind it is just waiting to try to get free. They're no fun to recoil...

Decent replacement piece
It fit nice. The rope is larger and softer than I'm use to for these, hence the 4 star. It's fraying a little already and was a little difficult to fit into the holes for the knots. Otherwise fit good!

Worked great on my vintage B&S 8hp i/c.
I had no trouble swapping the recoil starter pulley with this new oem one. Good fitment, it looks like it will last another 40 years on my vintage Troy bilt garden way th2009 rear tine cultivator.

Made of Delrin nylon.
The old one broke in three pieces but it was very old. The new purchase fit like a glove. This one comes with rope which is convenient. I probably cut off one inch. BTW, it's starting a 10-HP B&S 5,000 watt generator.Yeah, I'd buy it again.

Bring my tiller back to life
My dad's tiller which I have been fixing my whole life is back to running again. It is strong too.
