Great design
As good a slim wallet as I’ve seen, and I’ve sent a few back. Better than the ridge in my opinion. Just hoping it has some durability.

Everything that I need in a slim wallet
I usually do not write reviews but I was struggling to find a slim wallet that has a transparent ID slot. This is a perfect wallet and doesn't look like I have a wallet in my pocket. Also the wallet is perfect size to store everything. I hold 8 cards 4 on each side and Driver's License work tap ID card in the transparent space. Still I believe it can hold 2 more cards. But i think I am better off them.

Pretty, but with Important Failures
I like it because of the interesting mechanism and material palette, but I’m frustrated with a couple of things:-The mesh license cover is very hard to see through, especially without adjusting light/angles. I would never leave my license behind it to show anybody of serious level like a policeman. The piece looks nice but is almost jokingly in practice. Do not underestimate this feature.-The other serious problem is that the pull-straps so far always get jammed the first time, requiring a hard exaggerated pull to get my cards out. I fear the strap material won’t take much of that constant strain. I’ve since started storing my cards with the number embossing facing inward (thinking maybe they’re adding extra resistance on the leather to the motion of getting the cards pulled up) and this has seemed to help minimize the issue... but it is pretty tedious to have to worry about the exact way cards are stored.. defeats the purpose of the cool mechanism. Now, doing this, I’ve noticed some glue residue gunking up the corner of one of my cards. Maybe this is adding the the mechanical resistance (there being loose glue inside sticking to the plastic cards), but it hasn’t been too too bad.On the plus side, the wallet is short and narrow compared to many others out there (but not exceedingly so). The leather material seems nice and everything else is as it’s supposed to be.-Also, the money clip holds two bills well enough (I like how loose it is- very comfortable to use but nothing will fly off), but one bill alone would be too loose to store in there. Just a head’s up.It’s pretty nice, but definitely not the perfect everyday wallet solution I was looking for.

Keep in mind..."minimalist". Looks nice.
First thing...it looks nice. Okay, got that out of the way.Second thing...keep "minimalist" in the front of your mind (as opposed to the back of your mind). Now, the review...For the last 20-30 years I've simply used a couple of rubber bands to keep my insurance cards, credit cards, driver license, and several other miscellaneous cards bundled together in my pocket. With a couple of rubber bands if one broke...it had a back up. LOL. As for cash, I simply folded it in half and stuck it in my front pocket laying beside the bundle of cards. Worked/works great! But, when I saw a deal for this "minimalist front pocket wallet" for $3.99 (regular $19.99...yeah, right) and the fact that I had enough rewards points I figured I'd give it a try...might as well get classy, eh? Wasn't a big investment so what the heck... :)Well, if you have like seven different regular-size cards then it'd probably work pretty good. Three cards in each outer pocket and one in the interior "see-thru" pocket. The problem is that the cards have to be *regular* size ones, anything larger than a regular, standard-size credit card won't work. I have four different insurance cards, my primary one being my Medicare card (yep, I'm retired). The thing about the Medicare card is that its a paper card. To insure it's longevity and to keep it from getting all tattered, dogeared, and roughed-up I keep it in a clear plastic sleeve. That sleeve is just large enough to slide the Medicare card into...but there is the edges that are heat-sealed that makes the card and sleeve larger than a standard card. The only way I could get that combination in the minimalist front pocket wallet was to trim the seams off the two long sides...leaving the actual card simply sandwiched between the two remaining sides of the sleeve with one end still intact. Bad design...only a fraction of an inch larger and that sleeve would fit, oh well. I have four insurance cards...the joys of being a senior, I suppose. Add to those a drivers license, pistol permit, two credit cards, and any gift cards you might have and you've maxed out the storage capacity. Three standard cards can fit in each pocket "okay" but anything above that gets tight. Currently I have four insurance cards in one pocket and my drivers license, two credit cards, and a gift card in the other pocket. My pistol permit is in the inside clear-view pocket. The limited space did prompt me to shed a couple of old business cards....my wife's oncologist (but he had retired), and a couple of more. Also, a plastic "discount card" that one of my granddaughters was selling at school for a fund-raiser that was never used was ditched. Besides those, a couple of cryptic notes I had written on a tad of paper. Probably the biggest thing that I jettisoned was the card that I've carried for years detailing my heart stents...hopefully (for several reasons! LOL!!!!) I won't be needing that...I've made it this far without needing it. grin So, a little spring cleaning and I managed to make things "fit".As for cash money, the integrated money clip seems to work fine. No problems with it.Okay, now to the kinda cool part... each pocket has a little looped strap of leather(?) that goes down into the slot. As you insert a card the leading edge of the card hits the strap. The strap is attached on the inside of the slot, it loops down into the slot, back up to the outside of the wallet thru a small slit in the outside leather. When the cards are fully inserted into the wallet you can pull the tabs on the outside of the wallet and "raise" the cards out where you can get to them. It is a neat design...as long as it works. Sometimes I've found that when inserting the cards that for some reason it will snag on the strap and pull the tab through the slot and out of sight into the bottom of the pocket. This makes it rather difficult to remove a card...not much room to work with right there. I keep a couple of hemostats in my tool box and they work good at retrieving the tab/strap...but I don't usually carry them with me to a restaurant or many other places... :( Maybe I'll get better at working with the wallet, but the "disappearing tab" is something to be aware of.With four (thin) cards in one side, four (thick) credit cards in the other side, one medium thick card in the interior pocket and probably ten different bills in the money clip the wallet is measuring just a tad over half an inch...maybe 9/16". A few of the cards barely stick out the end of the slots.Like I said to start with, think "minimalist". If you have a minimal number of cards...say a drivers license, an insurance card, and maybe a credit card or two the "minimalist front pocket wallet" and a reasonable number of bills in the money clip it should work fine. One thing is that it doesn't seem to conform to my body/thigh as well as my old rubber band money clip and folded money did. But, it's nice, looks good, and is probably more secure (maybe?) than my old way with rubber bands so I'm going to give it a try for a while. Maybe I'll get more used to it and get a better opinion of it...for my situation. If I remember to, I'll update this review after I use the "minimalist front pocket wallet" for a while...remember, I'm retired so I might not remember. LOL!!!!Remember...think minimalist! :)
