Sufficient, but not as easy to stuff as wet pork casings (he directions say to use dry), and as a result, can only fill sausages up to 12" or so. My goal was to make long rings to freeze for later use. They are definitely edible, but I find the texture slightly tough. I am grateful that they are available, as pork casings are getting more difficult to find, and will order again if I can't find natural pork casings locally.
