Great computer - would purchase again after 3+ months of use
Pros:Very light and sleek design - it is nice to look at and touchScreen touch, mouse pad, and keyboard responses set well upon opening - very comfortableProcessing speed extremely fast, even when transferring large files and trying to run large models - speed and performance of SSD is as advertisedSetup was very quick and easyBoot up extremely fast - again SSD performing better than traditional hard drive as expectedOrdered on Sunday evening and received on Tuesday afternoon - very impressed with speed of deliveryCons: (very minor)Although the SSD is quieter than a traditional hard drive, I did hear fan noise upon booting up and the area with the SSD did become quite warm which surprised me as I was not yet doing anything very intensiveBasically ripped off Apple's design of the mousepad without separate buttons - personally I liked having the separate right and left click buttons versus having to find the right area of the pad and totally understand that this is simply personal preferenceAmazon listing stated that it came with Windows 10 - actually came with Windows 8.1 and had to download updateUPDATE AFTER 3 MONTHS:Still loving this laptop! Overall would definitely purchase again.PROS:-after removing some of the "junkware" that comes factory installed on computers, the SSD became quieter and wasn't running nearly as hard-battery life is a dream - even running intensive models for consulting work, still only need to charge maybe once per day.-has ability to run complex models without taking overnight or getting hung up like previous laptopsCON:-silver casing showing some small scratches on top even though I primarily use it in my home / seldom have traveled with it so far - a bit disappointed in the amount of wear it is showing considering I have barely left my house with it and return it to it's sleeve every time I am not using it

Good laptop, but like many HPs it doesn't have good longevity
I've only had this laptop for a little over a year and I'm already seeing issues. The hinges make noise, buttons aren't responsive all the time, and my laptop will freeze and become very slow for no reason. I take very good care of my electronics so I know this isn't because of me. This is the 3rd HP I've had and they all start having the same issues within a year or two of use. For the price I'd recommend just getting a MacBook instead

NOT NEW! Open Box/Refurb product labeled with "Microsoft Certified" tag!!!
This product is NOT NEW! I received my shipping box for my HP Spectre x360 and instantly knew something was wrong when there were two pieces of tape and a "Microsoft Certified" label taped over that. Perfect example of refurb or open box item. So okay, I can deal with this, if it went back to Microsoft, then I'm sure it's fine. I open the shipping box and there's the product box, not shrink wrapped as it should be, so yeah, definitely repackaged after a sale. Still, I knew this, whatever. I pull everything out, stick it on the charger for an hour to check the battery, and then start it up. Immediately "BIOS Checksum Invalid." You've got to be kidding me. They factory reset the computer and someone junked the BIOS. I restart it, spam F12, and by the grace of god get it to start up. All right, Windows 8.1 has got to go. Time for Windows 10. I start the download, chill for an hour or so, then start the setup. Well guess what, "Windows 8.1 isn't Activated," no Windows 10 for you! At this point I'd finally had enough. I packed it back up, threw it in the box, put in for a refund, and just went and bought the newer model straight from HP for $100 more. DO NOT BOTHER!

Nice but upgrade problems
I have been using this laptop for one week. The PROS: The speed is tremendous. It boots very quickly, in only 4 seconds. The fan is mostly silent. The screen is very sharp. The CONS: It came with windows 8.1. However, when I had to restart windows in order to install the updates, the computer frooze with the message "Installing update 66/77" on the screen for hours. I made a forced restart by pressing the on/off switch for 5 seconds and it booted normally. This was risky as the O/S might get corrupted and laptop could become brick. Searching the forums, I saw that this was a general issue. I decided not to upgrade to Windows 10 to avoid further problems because some people complain about hardware issues after Windows 10 upgrade.Bottomline for me: If it is working do not fix it. It is really disappointing to feel uncomfortable about a free upgrade.

Fantastic laptop.
I purchased this HP Spectre x360 After searching a lot for reviews and in actually I love it !Everything is good about this laptop : The body is premium and made out of aluminum, it's very thin(15.9mm) And not really heavy(1.4 kg). I purchased it from the seller(LGI Electronics) As they offer a free 2560x1440 QHD Screen at the same price which is really awesome! The screen is fantastic, the speed is lightning and everything else is really great. What I didn't like about this laptop is that after upgrading to Windows 10 I had a problem with the sound, whenever I play anything, at the end of it a very annoying crackling sound appears, rather than the annoying white noise from the right speakers, I contacted the seller and he told me how to fix it as it was a Software problem because it happens even if you plug in a headset or external speakers. Also, the screen supports capacitive styluses like HP Active Pen and Dell Active Stylus which I purchased with the laptop as the review are saying that the HP Pen isn't really good comparing to Dell Active Stylus and I really like it.Overall, the laptop is really fantastic, I recommend it to everybody.

This is a great computer. I like the slim design when it's closed - hardly any space taken up. Also, the speed of the solid state hard drive is uncanny to any other that has RPM's (moving parts).
