Wonderful picture based humor game! Similar to BubbleTalk, but easier to use with limited readers.
This game is very similar to BubbleTalk, and in fact shares some of the same picture cards. In PicWits, the players hold 5-7 picture cards, and must chose a card from their hand that best matches the single caption prompt for that round. The game is played in rounds, and using the games directions, the winner is the first person to earn a given number of caption cards. Players earn caption cards via a single player who acts as the judge for that round. When judging, the player does not play their own card, but gets to chose the picture card that they feel best fits the rounds caption. This game is best played with 3 or more players, but can be modified for 2 player play as a therapy game. This game has a similar underlying concept to BubbleTalk, but PicWits is easier to use with students who may still be struggling readers. This game is terrific for use in Social Skills groups, speech and language groups and counseling as well as for family game night. These are the following concepts that this game can be used to address:-Perspective taking and Theory of mind-understanding humor-interpreting picture based social situations-Flexibilty and acceptance of other's opinion-verbal expression-Vocabulary-Discussing differences of opinions-Turn-TakingThis game works well with students in 2nd grade and up, but with caution can be used with younger students.Parents/teachers/therapists will need to review picture cards when playing with younger to high school aged players due to a few of the cards portraying concepts or having items in the picture that might not be considered suitable for students in that age range. As far as I have seen there were only a few in that I felt might be questionable, and mainly because the students I serve are in the elementary to middle school range. There are plenty of picture cards provided, and so supervising adults can remove any cards they deem inappropriate prior to gameplay without any concern.

The weirdest, funniest game for all ages!
I bought this game after playing it at a friend's house, and then I bought another set for myself and another for my great-grandkids who live far away. Whether you're a kid or an old lady like me, you'll get a load of laughs playing this game with friends. The only mystery is: where did they get all these strange photos??

Great family fun, great birthday gift
My family and I love this game. It is similar to Apples to Apples (and A. to A. Jr), but the players get a "hand" of cards that are pictures instead of words. I have played this game SO many times with my family, including my husband's 80-year-old mother and my 10-year-old son, and I still marvel at the number of picture cards I get that I have never seen before. When we are playing with just my husband and two boys (ages 10 and 13), sometimes we let our dog play...meaning we put in a random picture card from the deck and say it's from her. She has actually won a few times - meaning the random cards we picked for her beat the ones we deliberately chose! The game is also nice because although the game instructions say how many caption cards you have to earn to win a round, sometimes we choose a different number based on how much time we have to play. So if there is only 20 minutes until bedtime, we can say the first one to get 4 caption cards is the winner. I have also given this gift numerous times for my kids' friends' birthdays; the price is right, and you know that since it's not available at retail outlets (that I'm aware of), they probably don't already have it.

Suprisingly my son's favorite game from this Christmas.
Not that I thought it would be bad, but this is the game we play every day.So it's fairly straight forward. You have a handful of cards with pictures (and they have an eclectic mix of images) and you will get a caption card flipped. You do your best to match it and people rotate judging. I've played it with as little as 3 and as many as 12. So family game and party game.Quite a lot of fun and even if you reuse cards, the variation in cards will make it so that it's shelf life is very long.My suggestion if you purchase: open the picture cards in waves. They come in 8 wrapped sets. We opened 2 right away and have moved up to 4. But we still have 4 more to open. So by slowly introducing new cards, you can really keep it fresh. My 2nd suggestion. When you have opened all the cards try this. Deal all the captions, flip a picture and match in reverse.

Super fun game
Clean fun, great for family game night or parties. My family and I played this for the first time while staying in a cabin in the Upper Peninsula and had the many laughs. Bought it on Amazon as soon as we were back in an area with wi-fi.

Funny, cool game!
Bought two of these, one for each set of grandchildren, ages 14, 12, 11, and 5. Easy to teach rules. Even the 5 year old could play after a few explanations of what some of the captions meant. The pictures are very funny. One wonders where all of these crazy pictures came from! A different sort of “winning” with each dealer deciding on the hands winner. The adults also loved it. Wonder if the new pictures and captions will be available. I know I would buy them if they were up for sale! It was kinda of addictive. Finally a card game to compete with all the crazy video games!
