Shure PGA27 Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone

I enjoy singing on a karaoke site but I was never totally satisfied with the sound I was getting. I took a chance after reading the reviews and purchased the Shure PGA27. I knew Shure meant quality as I have the Shure SM57 and SM58. I grew to realize that these mics, which are the choice of many professionals, were made for live performances on stage. You can use them for online karaoke and other purposes, don't get me wrong. But for studio and personal music recordings a condenser mic is the best. The Shure PSA 27 fit that purpose and more. It's the best mic I've ever owned at a reasonable price. For those new to this topic, you need an external 48 volt power supply for condenser mics to work. Amazon has plenty of choices. The sound is amazing - as are the specs. It covers the full range of the sound spectrum so you wont lose out on any highs or lows. This mic would also be great for podcasters as well. It's solidly built. Bottom line - you won't go wrong with this choice!

This microphone sounds amazing, better then any microphone I've ever owned. Works amazingly well with the Focusrite Scarlett Solo Audio Interface! I am certainly glad I purchased it, it is definitely worth the price. Only con I'd mention is, whenever I attempted to use it with the Neewer phantom power, it would be incredibly quiet. I'm not sure if it needed more power, but the phantom power worked with any other microphone I used, so I can imagine, it probably needed a "better quality" phantom power as the Neewer phantom power was only 20 bucks while the Focusrite Scarlett solo is 100. However, I do definitely recommend this microphone, but if you can get it, be sure to get a good quality phantom power, something like the Focusrite.

I love these. They were the perfect replacement for my older overheads in my studio.

Awesome quality i can sing & literally scream my lungs away with this mic. Depending on the interface & channel mixer. Im a musician my self so i have a really expensive channel mixer & a 100 dollar interface. Obviously the channel mixer would give it its unique touch. The interface you would have to work on the volume on the pc for the mic & the interface as well. I have screamed on my interface before & it is good for your viewers. If you like it your viewers will enjoy the singing & or broadcast.

My review will get blammed if I gush, so I'll keep this simple. Pros: So good. So, so good. Cons: None. Other: So good. I use this for voice-over work and it is so good. I use the Gutmann Fur Windscreen for PGA42.

I purchased this microphone to supplement our PA that we use for performances that require a PA system. Our band, the Corklickers, is an old time string band with three fiddles (sometimes only two), banjo, guitar, and upright base. We have typically used mics for each instrument with additional vocal mics for the banjo and guitar while the fiddle mics serve as vocal mics too. For the past few jobs, we have had problems with one of the mics and then we had an issue with another one. We decided to try a large diaphragm mic, and after reading some information, I purchased the Shure PGA27-LC. We use it for the three fiddles, and although we are new to using it and need to learn better how to use it, we think we made a good choice. We have only had one job where we needed our PA, and one other job where we brought our mic with us for the venue sound man to use it as we performed. We want to learn best how to use this type of microphone, and we think that we may want to have another one and move away from using six or more microphones.

I'm using this mic everyday for commercial voice overs. Good clarity and well constructed, just what you expect when you buy a Shure mic.

This is a quality mic. It picks up every sound in the room even the ice setting in the refrigerator lol, so make sure you treat the room properly. You don't have to project too much so you get great results with less work and all you have to do is focus on your techniques.!

للي يبي يسجل صوته بوضوح هذا المايك مناسب جدا لكنه يبي له شغل يعني لازم تتأكد من نوع كارت الصوت اللي تستخدمه أحيان تكون المشكلة في كرت الصوت لازم تضبط الاعدادات ونتأكد من التوصيلات أنها جيدة وهنا يعمل الميكرفون بشكل جيد

Que dire ce micro est vraiment top le rendu est de qualité professionnelle , et le retour je ne vous en parle pas a coupé le souffle je recommande
