Very nice wallet
When my old wallet started falling apart, I knew which features it had were important to me:- Real leather. I'm willing to buy faux leather if I can see it and touch it first. For an online purchase, the chance of getting something that looks and feels like plastic is too high.- Bright color so I can spot it wherever I put it.- Textured so I can check that it's in my purse by touch alone.- Divided bill compartment. I like keeping my singles separate from larger bills.- Sufficient credit card/ID card space.- Medium sizeTHE GOODThe leather is beautiful, much nicer that I was expecting from a $40 wallet. The workmanship is great. There is a double line of stitching on every seam that will get a lot of stress and not a stitch is missing or out of place. I expect this wallet to last several years. The colors are beautiful -- lipstick red, dark burgundy and orange. They are complementary and don't clash at all. I have found it with no trouble every time I've misplaced it. If I have one complaint about this listing, is that I almost went right past it. The pictures made it look like the wallet is in pretty earth tones. But the description said "red" so I did a little digging around the web, found better pictures and came back here to buy it. (The price here is as good as anywhere else and better than most. Plus, if there were any problems, it's nice to have Amazon supporting you.)The space for credit cards, driver's license, health insurance card, stamps, train tickets, etc. is beautifully thought out.THE LESS GOODThe divided bill compartment can be annoying. I forgot to take into account that Visconti makes their wallets for a British and European market. Their currency is wider than ours so it make sense that the compartment is deep. It is, in fact, more than 50% deeper than it needs to be for American bills. As a result, I'm finding it a bit hard to keep my money from winding up in a folded wad. As I use it, I hope the leather will get soft enough that this stops being a problem. (My last wallet had one deep section and one with a faux bottom so that my singles were an easy grab and the larger bills were less accessible.)The change purse adds a bit more bulk to the wallet than I would like. It is divided but doesn't open wide enough to make that feature very useful so the extra thickness isn't there for any good reason. The wallet isn't textured but I knew that when I bought it (so I'm not deducting from my rating.) It does have an identifiable shape so I don't miss that as much as I thought I would. There's a learning curve when getting used to a new wallet. I'm used to everything being where it was. I expect that once I get more used to it, the things I don't like will cease to matter and I'll be left with a beautiful wallet. I spent a lot of time shopping online and in stores and, if I had to do it again, I'd still buy this wallet.

The wallet is very nice and the description is accurate
The wallet is very nice and the description is accurate. If I had been looking for a wallet that would go in my purse I would be completely happy. I did, however, get the impression from one of the reviews that it would be a wallet that could fit in my back pocket, which is what I was looking for. While it technically does fit, it is definitely not a pocket wallet. It is relatively fat and a bit too tall. I should have paid more attention to the size listed in the description. My only other criticism is that, as mentioned in a few of the reviews, the bill compartments are very deep so it is a bit difficult to access the money. I suspect once I get use to that, it won't bother me. I like the wallet enough that I am keeping it and seeing if I can get use to not carrying my wallet around in my back pocket.
