I only use the flash drive to play music in my truck. It connects directly to the USB in my MP3 in-dash player. I swear I've had nothing but problems with the last three USB flash drives that I've had over the past 2 1/2 years. I had a Patriot that was a lot of money, supposedly one of the best, and it crapped out after 6 months. It was able to read all folders on the computer, but the in-dash car MP3 player wouldn't recognize any of the folders. Same thing happened with a Corsair flash drive, and the same with a SanDisk. All of those USB's wouldn't read many of the folders that I would create on the computer. I'd create a folder, only to plug it in the car, and the folder was nowhere to be found. This ADATA is the first one that does what it's supposed to do. I create a folder, put music into it, and it reads ALL folders on the computer, AND in the car. No problem! This USB feels extremely sturdy, also. Formatting the flash drive as exFAT or NTFS will resolve this issue. WARNING: Backup your data. Formatting will delete all the data in your device. I personally went with NTFS and had no problems after that. **Q: My laptop has a USB 3.0 port. Will a 3.0 USB flashdrive be considerably faster than a 2.0 USB flashdrive?** A: Yes. A USB 3.0 flash drive will be faster than USB 2.0. Keep in mind however, that budget 3.0 flash drives are slower than more expensive 3.0 drives that have faster memory. **Q: Is this flash drive backwards compatible with USB 2.0 ports on a computer? Also, can a USB 3.0 be used with an Xbox as its external memory?** A: Yes....the usb 3.0 flash drive works fine when using usb 2.0 ports.
