I made sure to use plenty of the adhesive, and then placed a weight over top of the patch to make sure that it remained in contact with the air mattress. I think this is critical as the adhesive is very slippery and the patch has a tendency to re-roll while the adhesive is drying. I also placed a plastic sandwich bag between the patch and the weight to make sure any adhesive that came out from under the patch wouldn't glue the weight to the patch. After 24 hours, I removed the weight and plastic bag (which came off easily) and inflated the mattress. The patch held, and I didn't notice any stretching or air leaking. The mattress held air for four consecutive nights without needing to be reinflated! This product worked well and saved me the cost of replacing the mattress. I recommend this product! Following the directions I applied a small piece of vinyl to the top of the mattress with a SMALL amount of the glue. Let me tell you 1/2 an ounce is PLENTY for small holes and patches. The only downside to the glue is that it's very runny so be careful not to apply too much because it will go everywhere. But after letting it dry for a full 24 hours I was able to put air back into my mattress and so far so good. No issues with it yet. It holds strong and it bonded well. You can then scrape the flocking off with a dull knife-edge or scraper (I prefer a letter opener - sharp but not so sharp that you're at risk of cutting the material). Clean-off any remaining flocking adhesive with a paper towel or cotton swaps soaked with alcohol. Let the alcohol dry completely prior to applying the patch. **Q: I'm worried about the top of the bed getting stuck to the bottom.
