Batman Beyond 2.0 (2013-2014) Vol. 2: Justice Lords Beyond
A**A
Lots of nostalgia for old JL/JLU/BB fans, and a great book in its own right.
Volume 2 of the Batman Beyond 2.0 series compiles the Justice Lords arc from across the Batman Beyond 2.0 series and Justice League Beyond 2.0 series. Similarly to the other books in the series, this book takes place in the same continuity as the DCAU produced by Bruce Timm, which includes Batman TAS, Superman TAS, Batman Beyond, Justice League, and Justice League Unlimited (and Static Shock). So if you were a fan of these shows, or like most of us, grew up watching them and got into comic books because of them, this is a great book to consider.Volume 2 is especially great, because it concludes the Justice Lords arc, that started in the original Justice League show in the two part episode "A Better World", so the nostalgia factor is pretty strong in this one. It doesn't give you a definitive end for these characters, but it does offer a satisfying conclusion, after showing what happened to the original Justice League. On its own, this is still a great story, although I wouldn't recommend getting this Volume alone without also getting the first Volume, as the story would be confusing otherwise. Still if you're a fan of books like Injustice, this one has a very similar tale In fact Injustice is largely inspired by the Justice Lords arc, so this would be interesting for fans of the Universe. The issues in this TPB are inserted chronologically, so you'll notice a change of art between pages, as the book shifts between Batman Beyond 2.0 and Justice League Beyond 2.0, which could be jarring. The art itself however is very solid, with a animation-esque style for the Batman Beyond series, and a beautiful stylized style for the Justice League Beyond series.I highly recommend this book, especially for fans of the original TV Shows.

Batman Beyond 2.0
First Batman Beyond story I read and it was a great read. Never did I expect the plot twist in the story that came along as I was reading. I like how the writers left room to continue this story down the line.

What happens when our Heroes stop becoming voluntary heroes and become wardens that keep the world as a prison? What happens when they use their powers not to fight evil, but to eradicate it entirely? This book is great in that Terry McGuiness (the new Batman in our future) is sent on a mission to another parallel world where our heroes aren't heroes, but prison guards with their eyes set to kill anyone out of line.A great read! The words are easy to read (with glasses) and its definitely not childish. People Die!

Awesome!
Worth the read! I loved every scene in this story. It also gave me some closure on the justice lords saga, and what others thought and felt

Plenty of Action But Also Thought Provoking
If you loved Batman: Beyond and the Justice Lords episodes of Justice League, you'll love this too. Just (no pun intended) be aware that it's a bit less focused on Terry and Bruce, and a bit more focused on the two Supermen (Supermans?!) and Diana than a typical episode of Batman: Beyond. Even if you don't know either TV series, you will probably find it good alternative superhero fiction, with plenty of action but also thought provoking.

Yet another amazing edition to the Batman Beyond lineage
Yet another amazing edition to the Batman Beyond lineage. The story of the Justice Lords is one many fans of the Justice League TV show have been lacking true closure on, and this book provided just that and more. Probably the best, or close second best, of the entire series.

New Justice Lords!
The story is well written and the alternate earth characters are interesting variations on the standard personalities. The reaction of the other Justice Lords to Lord Superman at the end was a stretch but otherwise an entertaining tale.

good read.
have been fascinated with the justice lords ever since seeing them on justice league unlimited season 2. this story line is very satisfying as terry mcginnis is introduced to something out of the league's past while weaving in the neo gotham justice league, bruce wayne, an older superman, and wonder woman. good read.

Batman Beyond the story continues.
I eagerly awaited this follow up to Justice League Beyond:power struggle and the last BB title. It did not disappoint. It can be a little hard to keep up with in places, as it flicks between two worlds a fair bit. There are some brilliant moments and the plot really grabs you. It could have done with maybe drawing out the main battles a tiny bit just to make them easier to follow and absorb (BB vs Supes in particular), but this is a great read for continuing fans of Batman Beyond (Batman of the Future for UK fans). The story ties up some interesting elements to do with the last story, but still leaves the Terry/Bruce issue to be resolved in the final bookArtwork. Very good.Pace: hectic in places, but you can rereadStory: excellent with one moment I actually had my heart rate go nuts.

Worth getting.
Really good story, really good art. Great for fans who wanted a conclusion to the JLA TV show episode about the Justice Lords. The issues before this aren't that great in terms of story or art and arent required to understand what's going on here.
