Just what I needed for my ‘05 Chevy Cobalt
Perfect, just what I needed to fix my missing gears within the automatic transaxle. No need to drop the sub frame, just remove the driver’s side axle, steering knuckle assembly for the wheel well. In the engine bay, you need to remove the central fuse box, then top transmission motor mount and you’ll be able to access the transmission side cover where these solenoids are located. Remove the bolts securing the side cover, then leverage it so there’s a good angle to view from inside the wheel well. Pop the clips off the old solenoids with a flat tipped screwdriver, then pull out. It’ll pop out with ease after the clip is removed. Some transmission fluid will be lost when you drop the side cover, so take note of how much. You may need 1-2qt or more.

No.easy to install but you can save a lot of money
Install in 2010 pontiac g6. Not easy to make room to get cover out enough to access selonoids. Ended up removing drivers side engine mount, front mount, and loosening passenger side mount. Then jack engine toward passenger side. Make sure not to dislodge shift control rod. Selonoid was partially melted so easy diagnosis. Worked perfect. Had to repair myself or junk the car.

Work great!
Bought 2 for a 2009 Cobalt LT 2.2 coupe. As far as I know this was the first time these had to be changed, well known (national) transmission repair company wanted $1600 to replace. Did it myself for less than $50. You will immediately hear and feel a difference, be back to normal shifting again. Major parts of the DIY job is removing fuse box, computer, and dropping driver's side suspension, subframe. With a little help from your jackstand the pan can then be removed in order to get these bad boys where they need to be! AC Delco is the way to go! Yeah!!
