Q: My tiles are vinyl and pretty wide 12x 12 can this tool adjust to width of 12” inches?

With the fence in place, you can cut up to about 7” wide. The adjustable guide on the side will give you about an 8 1/4” wide cut. You could remove all of the straight edges and cut free-hand (not the best way) or you can use a straight edge and a utility knife. I also found this for you on Amazon. It says in the product description that it can cut up to 12” wide.
