Best Rollers on the planet!
These rollers really are the best! The smooth finish and snug fit of the clip are great features. Definitely my favorite style. To create texture, I bought them in three different sizes. Bonus: they're affordable and durable!I've tried lots of different kinds of rollers, varieties and results as follows:VELCRO - HORRIBLE, I have fine long hair and it took (seriously) 2 hours for me to get them out of without ripping my hair out of my head !SPONGE - fasteners come loose and they don't give a consistent controlled curl.TOOTH SNAP ROLLERS - leave ugly kinks.SPIRAL - Great in theory but when they are bent they become bulky and make it hard to put it evenly I bought them to create a spiral curl and the results were unsatisfactory.BOTTOM LINE: Buy these Diane Snap-On Rollers and forget the rest - you'll be glad you did!

Great Hair Rollers!!
Great rollers at a great price. They gave me my curls back. These are just like the ones I used to have a long long time ago, but, not quite as tough. Still, they are great to have again. I do recommend these (5 Stars) I purchased a few packs of them and I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a nice simple hair roller.

Holds in place, smooth curl, takes practice, long drying time
They are called "magnetic" because damp hair clings to the smooth plastic. These are my go-to for my 1950s vintage hairstyle. This size is perfect for most of my hair except the shortest around the nape of my neck. I like that I get very smooth, glossy curls with these. I like that the cover holds it in place if you snap it on very close to the root. Snap-on rollers will leave a dent so I use pin curl clips for the rollers at my hair part. It is a little tricky to get the tension right and keep the ends tidy. I usually use a rat tail comb to smoothly tuck the ends in or use end papers. For curls that last 3-5 days I use diluted setting lotion in a foaming hand soap dispenser and apply a little to each curl and comb through before rolling. I also finish with a strong hairspray once dry and styled. Make sections no bigger than the roller, even thinner sections for very dense hair or hair longer than chin-length. Once it is dry, unroll the curl rather than pulling the roller through. I do not recommend this size for hair longer than shoulder length. Also, don't try to sleep on these unless you only use them on the crown of the head. The plastic is very hard. Use pin curls, pillow rollers, or rags instead. The biggest drawback of the magnetic rollers is that they don't dry very quickly. There aren't many vents. I need at least 3 hours to air dry. If you need it to dry in less time, use a blow dryer on high speed and medium heat with a bonnet attachment or low speed and high heat for hand held drying. Wait until cool before unrolling. Carefully unwind one of the last ones you put in to check that the ends of the curl is fully dry. If it isn't, you have to wind it back on the roller and dry for longer. Make the curls last days by sleeping with a double-layer genuine silk bonnet. You can even try putting square sections of the dry hair into medium pin curls and secure with bobby pins or hair pins. I do this for the curls closest to my face and the right behind the ears. In the morning, after a quick brush and a spritz of hairspray my hairstyle is nearly identical to the previous day. Finally, these are also great for styling wigs.

Thank you
Loved them just the right size

Not so great.
Would have returned but not qualified. They are slippery to wind hair and the clips leave marks on hair. Even with hair clips I like the velcro ones better.

Easy to use and works like a charm
Used it on my hair instead of using a curling iron every day

Roller set
Main sized roller in the kit for my hair. Medium length hair comes out bouncy, full and a good amount of curls.

Not Great for Long, Thick Hair
I gave these a try in my bid to find healthy ways to define the curls in my waist-length, very thick, wavy hair. I hate using curling irons or hair dryers or hot rollers (which never really work on me anyway since my hair is so heavy it would just pull the curl straight down) so I tend to sleep on two braids or twist damp hair around an elastic headband (this works extremely well, by the way. I'll detail it at the bottom). I was hoping to find some easy rollers that could hold the amount of hair that I have and that were comfortable enough to sleep on. These weren't quite as large as I was hoping to find (I wanted a minimum of 2") but decided to try them anyways.First, I don't understand why they say these are magnetic when they are clearly not. They are simply hard plastic with a hard plastic cover that snaps on through a tight fit rather than any magnetic properties. Even with a tiny bit of hair on the roller, my hair is long enough that it was extremely difficult to get the plastic cover to snap on over it. But I did it after a bit of work and then let my hair sit like that all day on a Saturday. I had been planning on trying to wear them to bed but I noticed the hair was completely dry so I figured I'd see how the curls turned out. They probably would have been semi-okay if my hair didn't get caught up all over the rollers and pull the curls apart in a very frizzy kind of way. My hair was HUGE when it finally came out and definitely not in a good way.I'm sure these rollers are great for people with shorter hair than me. For me, it was just way too time consuming and too uncomfortable to consider trying again. I get amazing results from five minutes of work before going to bed so I'll continue with that. Here's what I found that works:1. Get an elastic headband (I use Scunci No-slip Grip Flat Black Headwraps, 9mm but any elastic headband should work)2. Dampen the hair. I've found that spraying with a spray bottle gets the hair too wet so I just get my fingers wet and run them through the hair. Don't get the hair too wet! Very important!3. Put the headband on OVER your hair running along your front hairline down to the base of your head.4. Take a small chunk of hair on one side and twist it loosely away from your face and then tuck it over and under the headband so it loops it loosely and then dangles down with the rest of your hair.5. Add another segment of hair to it and twist it loosely together (away from your face again) and then loop it over and under the headband again.6. Repeat that for all the hair until you get to the other side. Make sure you don't loop it too tight when you get to the ends of your hair at the other side otherwise your nice big curls will be weird tiny, frizzy curls at the ends of your hair.7. Sleep on it and carefully take out in the morning when dry. This works beautifully for me. I get so many compliments daily on my hair and no one believes me when I say that I don't use a curling iron every morning. If you're going to try it, just be patient if you don't get it right the first time. I tried it about six times, changing small things each time, until I found the way that would work best for my hair. The main trick is though, NOT to get your hair too wet. Otherwise the curls twist and it looks reminiscent of dreads. Good luck! (and let me know if you need anything clarified. it's hard to describe in writing!)
