I love these speakers!
Okay, I must be on a different planet than some of these reviewers concerning these fantastic speakers First all anyone that says that lack tone or volume must have some serious hearing loss. I had mine plugged up and running on YouTube Country Music within about a minute and I barely have the volume control off zero and plenty of clear beautiful sounding music. Seriously, if you turn these all the way up I think your could do yourself some hearing damage. Almost every review I read before buying these speakers said quote "for the price they are good" Well forget for the price. I don't care what these cost they sound amazing ! These little speakers seem to be really made well and I personally think they are good looking on my desktop. You can bet I would recommend them in a heartbeat It seems Amazon lumps the reviews together for the different size Deep Sonar Speakers, but for clarity, I bought the small ones.

Small Size Perfect For My Bedroom Echo Dot, Sounds Great For $, Hard Wired Speaker/Input Cables
I got the Deep Sonar Arion Legacy 100 (SMALL) version of these speakers to use with my Echo Dot. The sound is better than I was expecting for $20 powered computer speakers. For my purpose I'm very satisfied as they are working fine in my application. There are some shortcuts on these that limit flexibility in other uses.THINGS I LIKE:+ Compact: don't eat a lot of space+ With An Internal Power Adapter (normal AC power cord)+ Sound Is Much Better Than I Expected For $20!+ The 1in Tweeter In Mine Is Real & Connected (pulled one apart and checked to be sure)+ Pressed Wood Cabinet Secured With Screws (easy to take apart/reassemble)+ Headphone Jack Is Handy+ Just Plugged Into My Echo Dot And Worked Perfectly+ Volume Control is nice (I keep it about halfway up)+ Cabinet Looks NiceTHINGS I DON'T LIKE SO MUCH- Hard Wired Together (Even at this price they should have Jacks)- Hard Wired 3.5mm Input Wire (Again, It should be a Jack!)- Blue LED Bright For A Bedroom (I used a few layers of scotch tape to dim it down)- Low "Hiss" When Volume Is Over Half With No Input (I can only hear this with my ear within 1ft)THOUGHTS:I read a number of reviews talking about fake/missing tweeters. This concerned me enough to disassemble one of my speakers and check it out for myself. I found my small speakers do have a real and wired 1in tweeter. When I checked reviews with that complaint I found are all on the ARDS300-BK Medium (medium) speaker and NOT this SMALL Arion Legacy 100 (small) model. I don't know what is going on with those medium speaker but the small ones I got are as advertized. These Arion 100 small wooden cabinet speakers sound better than I expected for $20. The very low amplifier hiss isn't any problem for me and only gets noticeable when the volume is cranked-up. Massive volume isn't a priority for me and the are plenty loud for what I want with my bedroom Echo Dot.But it is not all rosy. Even at $20 I expect to have jacks for input and the connection between the speakers. These have hardwired connections between the speakers I can only place them as far apart as that wire allows. The cross speaker wires pretty light and may be prone to breakage. Same issue is present with the fixed length connection to the audio input 3.5mm plug. The LED is bright for my bedroom. I could have covered it with electrical tape, but I just wanted it dimmed so I used several layer of frosted scotch tape that did the job. This is a very minor issue easily resolved.IN CONCLUSION:I was looking for inexpensive speakers to improve the sound of my bedroom Echo Dot. These do that very well and I think represent good value for the price. There are some down side issues and they knock off a star for me, so only 4 stars for the Arion Legacy 100 (SMALL) speakers.

Cautiously Optimistic
So far so good. They are lighter than expected and for some reason I thought the blue rimming was actually lit, but it's just the color of the plexiglass or whatever they use.I got these to replace my old speakers which had for awhile been having trouble every time I wanted to change the volume. Tons of static, sometimes no sound at all, etc. I usually had to fiddle for 10min and then leave it alone, only controlling volume via the computer output. So now I have these arion speakers and I'm cautiously optimistic. There is zero static when changing the volume. I live in a complex, so I've never really turned these up to any significant volume, but the sound is great. Finally, as others have stated, the lighted rim around the volume knob is very bright. I've had to create circles of duct tape to cover up the light and even after two layers, you can still see the light.

I highly recommend them to folks that need laptop/small desktop speakers for non hi-fi use.
This is for Deep Sonar Arion Legacy 100 AC 2.0 Laptop Speakers, SmallGot then for my wife to replace a Logitech set That stopped putting out sound on one side (second set with this problem in 2 years). She doesn't listen to music but only video clips from Facebook etc. Most of the time she uses a headset, the speakers are for when she wants to share with family. These speakers are perfect for her needs. The only drawback is the need to manually plug/unplug the headset jack.If there was a switch to go from speakers to headphone and back this would get 5 stars.I think that the sound quality is great for speakers in this price range and highly recommend them to folks that need laptop/small desktop speakers for non hi-fi use.

Deep Sonar Arion Legacy 100 AC 2.0 Laptop/Desktop speakers
They work! I'm surprised because of the price point that they don't pop and hiss even at max volume, which is no higher than most cell phones. If you're looking for speakers to slightly up your game in comparison to most laptops and monitors, sure, scoop these up. However, if you love clarity, which these do offer, but you also want bass, well run away. I get more bass taping my foot to the song than these provide, in fact, I'm very glad I bought them on lightning sale for $16.99. I'll figure out a way to jerry rig my old subwoofer to them and they'll be perfect. In the end I misread the specs and thought they'd provide small amounts of bump, they don't, and that's the only reason why I can't give them 5/5. They look great, work just fine, just not what I expected.
