📡 Amplify your home’s signal game—never miss a moment!
The C.P. Company PPC Evolution 9-Port Amplifier Signal Booster is engineered for large homes and commercial spaces with up to 9 TVs or modems. It prevents signal loss caused by multiple splitters and long cable runs by providing upstream and downstream unity gain. Built with a durable stainless steel body and nickel-plated C360 brass F-ports, this 9-way digital coaxial splitter ensures reliable, high-quality signal distribution without boosting the original provider signal.

Best Splitter/Amp for large house installations! You can't go wrong!
After doing a lot of research on amplifiers/splitters for large Coax installations, I found this to be the best. In fact it looks like Comcast (My local cable provider) uses both the PPC 5-port and 9-port models for large X1 installations. I spent the past weekend installing this in place of a standalone amplifier and passive 5-way splitter (which wasn't working very well). Everything is working amazing now! Prior to the installation (which included running all new RG6 Quad Shielded Coax) I was only able to achieve a maximum of 90mbps down on a good day. Now I'm hitting 120mbps. You can't go wrong with this splitter/amp! It's also MOCA compatible, so if you have an X1 Entertainment system, you're covered! The new RG6Q I ran probably had more to do with my cable internet performance increase since there was a noticeable decrease in line noise and an increase in signal integrity to the modem (Both Downstream and Upstream). However without the Amplifier portion of this splitter, the attenuation from the sheer length of Coax and the number of set-top boxes (HD Receivers) I have in the house would have degraded the signal to the modem (More ports/splitters = More Loss per port). To a point where the modem would have dropped it's connection to Comcast and possibly even the HD boxes/X1 DVR would have seen connectivity issues. The house I networked is fairly large, about 2500sq/ft, two story, 5 bedroom. This made some of the coax runs very lengthy, using a passive splitter for this many rooms/devices simply would not have worked.PROs:- 9 port Splitter Amp. (0 loss/0 gain)- Low Cost.- Easy setup/installation.- Includes passive port for VOIP or DATA modems (In the event you lose power to amp).CONs:- NONE!For those that are curious. My current house installation is setup as follows:PPC-EVO (P1) - X1 DVR in Family Room [20ft run, P1 recommended for DVR or Master video units]PPC-EVO (P2) - X1 HD Box Bedroom#3 [~75ft run, P1-4 recommended for longest runs]PPC-EVO (P3) - Bedroom#4 (Future use, 75ohm terminated) [~75ft run]PPC-EVO (P4) - NON-HD Digital Receiver (Kitchen Cabinet TV) [~80ft run]PPC-EVO (P5) - X1 HD Box Bedroom#5 [~35ft run, P5-8 recommended for shortest runs]PPC-EVO (P6) - Bedroom#1 (Future use, 75ohm terminated) [~40ft run]PPC-EVO (P7) - Bedroom#2 (Future use, 75ohm terminated) [~50ft run]PPC-EVO (P8) - NULLPPC-EVO (Passive -3.5db) - Motorola Surfboard Cable Modem [~65ft run]I'm getting +2dbmV downstream on the modem, which is much higher than I expected when using the passive -3.5db port, but well within the modem's "happy place."

Good quality and easy installation.
The early delivery and very easy DIY install of this product is what I can be truly grateful for. Xfinity/Comcast installed this exact same product about 4 years ago and it seemed to go bad after many power outages and surges. It occasionally would make a buzzing sound. A week ago, I decided to buy a new one because Comcast was giving me the runaround. One of my boxes was giving me problems and the internet was slower than usual. Maybe the amp had gone bad, I thought. I called Comcast who said that they can't send this amp because it is not their equipment. So I searched Amazon, and voila, there it was, the exact same model.I decided to just pay for this myself, even though the original amp was installed by Comcast. Maybe they charged me $200 for it, who knows. This new one was $70. I'm surmising it got fried by all the power surges and perhaps running it on back up power sources that didn't have a pure sine wave. I asked the Xfinity repairman to take a look at it on Monday (2 days ago) because he was here for other problems. "You're amplifier is fine". Clearly it wasn't, but Comcast can't run diagnostics on it, I assume. I said OK, I'll cancel my order for a new one, but fortunately, I forgot to. I'm sure some of the other problems I was having were in fact related to the amp starting to break down, but Comcast dismissed that possibility. Two days later , there is a scheduled 6 hour power outage and the amplifier truly does go bad and stops working altogether when I plug it back in. The buzzing is loud. I call Comcast. They inform me that I have zero signal and they agree with me that the amp has probably gone bad. They can be there the next evening. (mind you, who knows if Comcast even carries that amp anymore) . Without an amp (that connects to the main coax cable entering the house), I would have no phone, internet, cable - anything until Comcast would come back. That would be a small disaster.Yesterday, the amp I ordered on Amazon a week earlier - that was supposed to show up in mid July - shows up at my door, almost 10 days early and on the same day that the old amp completely dies. I could not have been luckier. I installed the new one, which was actually quite straightforward because each input is well labeled. To my amazement, our complex multi room system was up and running immediately after it was hooked up. Amazing because I didn't know what I was doing. There are literally 10 cables going in and out of that amp. It's a solid and well-made piece of equipment and based on my experience yesterday, can easily be bought and used at the retail level by guys like me.My history with the original amp that went bad tells me that a surge protector should be used with it, and also that one should use a pure sine wave backup power source during power outages. The electronics of that amp are probably more sophisticated than one might assumeMy system is working great. The amp is doing everything it is supposed to be doing. Thank you Amazon, the seller, and the manufacturer.

Fantastic distribution amplifier. None better.
This is a fantastic cable TV distribution amplifier. It does what it is supposed to do and does not have excess gain that might cause oscillation like my last amplifier did. I have two cable runs that weren't being used that I left disconnected and used terminating resistors on the amplifier as recommended. This probably wouldn't have made any difference either way. Signal strength on my Silicon Dust Home Run Prime with Cable Card went from 47% to 100% with this in place. I didn't check my cable company's leased HD DVR but I expect its signal increased comparably. The return path isn't amplified however it fixed my problem with my cable company leased DVR Video on Demand that hadn't worked previously. It is perfect on VOD and PPV on the DVR. This is not an Over the Air Amplifier.

Works with XFINITY X1
I've been trying to avoid upgrading to the X1 platform for a couple of years due to the intermittent connection errors because it requires a very good cable signal strength. However, there's a lot of features on the X1 (e.g. restart, voice command/search, channel history to name a few), so I decided to look for a no-loss 8-way splitter. I found this in the xfinity forum and apparently this is the same splitter that xfinity tech uses. I installed fairly easily (just enough room in the panel to put this and already have an outlet there, too).So far, no issues and my family is no longer annoyed by that "RDK-03003 unable to connect" error. Will update this review in case something goes wrong.
