This is great for a man’s dry scalp.

Good hold but not too stiff. Easy to apply and great smell. Price has gone up on this product but it doesn’t take a large amount.

In my quest for a high quality, medium hold product which is also water soluble, I was introduced to this by my stylist, and I haven't used another product since. As I said, it is water soluble, which means you can "reset" it with damp hands on those in-between-wash days. Sometimes, I think it even looks better on the second day. Washes out cleanly, and it has a firm enough hold to keep my wavy locks in check without feeling heavy, oily, crunchy, or sticky.

I have been using this product since my wife recommended I get my hair cut by her stylist. I highly recommend it and have been using it ever since (a few years now).Before my visit to my wife's stylist I was a "just get it cut at the barber and it will eventually look good" kind of guy. I also used whatever hair gel was the cheapest at the store. I never liked it because it would make my hair extremely stiff, look unnatural, and if you ever touched your hair your hands would feel sticky even several hours after putting in the gel.I don't have any of these issues with the Aveda product. It smells good, my hair stays in place but has a natural look to it. I can touch my hair and not come away feeling like I was slimed by some alien creature.The only drawback I have is that this stuff is expensive. I obviously think it is worth it as I have been using it for years and have tried other alternatives in the mean time.

I have big curls, and this stuff is great: Not too thick, not too greasy-looking. I always comb it through my hair right after I get out of the shower and let it air dry, then if I don't want it to look as wet even after it dries, I just pat my hair a few times and it keeps the curls without looking wet or greasy.Plus, it smells amazing.

Great product for finishing and firming men’s hairstyle.

I actually prefer this version to the one that is supposed to be firm.
