5 days in... jerk cat unrecognizable. Hope this lasts.
I have a very angry cat. The only time he is nice is at bedtime when he snuggles into bed with us and makes biscuits. THATS IT.Petting aggression- checkUnsocialized with other cats and will attempt to end them on sight- checkDislikes play- checkHis human guardians got 2 new kittens a few months ago in hopes of socializing and enrichment. Cue the uptick in aggression and anxiety, resulting in a kitty UTI from stress and an emergency $$$$$ vet visit. We have tried diffusers for months on end, even different formulas. Little monster dude gained a bunch of weight the first month and laid around more. It didn't do much personality wise, then he seemed unaffected since. We tried those herbal drops in the yellow bottle everyone swears by. No noticeable changes. We tried calming chews. He ate them a couple times then refused them since, even not being free fed. No difference seen. He's been on CBD oil for cats for about 3 weeks or so, has started refusing his wet food because of it this last week. Slightly more friendly, less bitey, seems to help with his movement more than anything. Plays a little more than he used to.Guys, I am not joking when I say he has been LEANING INTO petting. Not only that, but EXTENDED petting not just give him 3 scritch and snatch my hands away to avoid the angry bites. Head butts into the petting! I kid you not. He might have been body swapped by another cat, cause I don't know this guy. He's also been purring a lot when interacting with us. He used to only purr when baking biscuits at night. Who is this cat?!!?This collar was bought as yet another attempt to circumvent getting a vet appointment to prescribe him kitty meds. Last vet in 2022 told us to sedate him prior to bringing him in again. (Never touched him, and didnt resolve the reason we were there, but still charged me $$$ for the visit!)The collar smells a little, like lavender or something herbal and light. I have aversions to smells that are too strong because they give me headaches. I don't mind the collar smell at all. I can only smell it if I lean down into kitty's direct space. It's only been a few days but we took the collar off for about an hour yesterday and he was right back in jerk-cat-mode. This collar will be on permanent reorder status here.If your cat is being anxious or aggressive please try one of these Sentry calming collars for your and your furry family members' sanity and safety. If anything changes I will update my review.UPDATE its been about a month. My cats personality has not done a 180 (he still bites sometimes) but he is still leaning into petting and interacting with us for an extended time. He plays a little more than before, I attribute that maybe more to the CBD he is given. He does seem happier and more confident overall, but still my little monster. I also noticed I see his eye color more now; before the collar his eyes looked like black marbles unless he was in direct sunlight. Now they look normal and definitely un-devilish. This is worth trying if you have tried everything else like I have. I will continue to purchase.

Miracle worker for treating cat short term stress or longer term mental health challenges
My parents adopted a cat that turned out to be a little traumatized and hid all day every day for MONTHS only coming out when people were asleep or out of the house. We recommended they try this collar because we used a similar one for our dog after a stray dog attack left him with severe anxiety and it helped a lot, and she quickly started to finally warm up to socializing with the family and after a couple months she is now comfortable napping in the open and no longer needs the collar. We've also had great luck using it on cats that were stressed by surgeries, moves, new pets, or just generally anxious/moody. Using it with a new cat helps them acclimate to the new home, new people, and other pets faster. If your cat dislikes letting you put things around its neck, cut it to size you estimate you'll need (make sure you leave a little spare overhang) and just get it around their neck without latching it. You can work the latch when they're calmer, the collar holds its round shape well so it will stay on for the very short term without being latched (practice latching it before you put it on the cat. It can be a little tricky at first). Or just stick it in their hiding spot with them for a bit if sticking it on them is not possible in their current state.

Helps reduce anxiety and bullying behavior in my cat. Strong smell, worth the trade off for me.
I have 3 cats, 4 when I initially started using this product, but one has crossed the rainbow bridge, with my youngest being 3 years old. My other cats are 11+. My "baby" is insecure and can be a bully, often chasing the other cats around, but is also fearful of where they are. My poor senior cats never know if she will try and love on them or swat or attack them. My poor "baby" was stressed and afraid to come for cuddles with us. And then I found this wonderful collar! They don't live in perfect harmony with this collar; I'm unsure if that's possible at this point. However, "baby" is less anxious and her attacks on the other cats are much less when she wears the collar. I can tell when it's close to 30 days because all the old behaviors increase and then decrease again when I put the new one on. She is also more loving with us. Overall, it's a good product and worth trying. Remember that cats are different; what works for one won't work for another, especially with pheromone-based products. That isn't a reflection on this product, it's just something to be aware of.Now to the negatives. I have been using this for 4 months, almost 5. I buy the 3 pack tin and just use it on my "baby" cat. Surprisingly, she doesn't mind wearing the collar. After about 2 weeks of wearing the new collar, she starts scratching at it. With the most recent collar I have noticed that her back is rippling. I check her skin often and don't see signs of skin irritation, and the collar is loose enough. The collar is strong, and it can be hard to thread the end into the box clasp. However, it is break away because it would slide out of the box clasp if the cat got caught on something. This may not be a good choice if you are sensitive to smells. The smell is super strong and starts to decrease as the weeks pass. It can be distracting when petting your cat and smelling the collar. Even if I don't see her or she doesn't vocalize, I can tell when she's near by the smell of the collar. To me, it's worth the trade-off to have relative peace in the house.
