For fans of Loius CK, do you even need to read reviews? You know exactly what kind of comedian he is. But for those who don't know, I'll give a little warning.Lots of foul language, if that offends you, go watch something else.Now that all the lame people are gone, I can tell you that Loius brings his classic style to this bit. He tells the tales and woes of an aging father, while also relishing the good fortune he encountered by being white. This act is a no holds barred, say it as it is, funny because its true kind of act, and I loved every second of it. His use of callbacks is genius, and his timing is spot on. Do not watch this at night or you'll wake up your roommates. You will be laughing that hard. One of my favorite acts, will watch again and again and again...

If you like Louis CK, and his intentionally offensive, no topic is off limits, brand of comedy, this hour of stand up just flies by. For me there is only one brief lull for less than 5 minutes, but that is only the case because I've watched this film at least 10 times. On this DVD, Louis CK does one of his best bits about his children and explains his uncontrollable eating (including the Cinnabon incident) and struggles with his health as he gets older. The opening will probably have you hooked as he talks about how certain words are misused and become unusable over time, explaining his take on the words and how he uses them. Between the editing and his perfect timing, this hour will have anybody who appreciates Louis CK's comedy absolutely mesmerized!

After spending years in the underground comedy circuit, Louis CK's "Chewed Up" is gaining notoriety throughout the comedy world - by comics and fans alike. As a "comics comic" he is more than just social commentary (which is biting and 100% accurate), but also gives us a REAL insight to parenting and fatherhood. If you like the clean, fatherly stories from Bill Engvall, this probably isn't for you. But if you've cussed in your head more than a few times at the dinner table when your kid doesn't eat, or really just would love a small vacation from being a parent, Louis CK shares your pain. Excellent, hilarious, side-splitting comedy. Worth every penny.

I like to laugh so too bad. Yes I like Louis CK. He's very raw and visceral in the fact that he draws from the instinctive as opposed to the intellectual. Not to say that he's not intellectual, because he is very much so. But he's at his funniest when he's viscerally unbalanced. He's an awesome break for allowing yourself to crawl out of your own head and leave your worries behind comedian and even though some may find his material offensive, I find it very human.

For my money, Louis C.K. is the current king of comedy. I love that no topic is off limits to him, and that he says things that we always think and feel but often don't have the guts to say. This ridiculously funny show is a perfect-follow up to his great "Shameless" special. If you're looking for big laughs while thinking "I can't believe he just said that--but it's so true" then look no further than Louis C.K.

i used to be fat. i saw this guy live at the moore theater in seattle a few weeks ago...had a stomache ache the following day from all the muscle strain the night before.i bought lucky louie two weeks ago...i totally get why hbo didn't pick it up, but consider them extremely short-sited and even stupid for passing.i watched chewed up last night. i now have a 6-pack. screw jenny craig. thanks louis!

Had heard good things about Louis CK. But what a disappointment. I forget which aspect of his crudeness turned me off. Was it animal cruelty? Hard to remember, but I know I don't want any more Louis CK.

The first time I saw Louis CK's stand up routine was an edited, censored version of this performance that aired on TV, and it was so fantastic that it made me search out all his stand up comedy DVDs. Although it can be, at times, grossly vulgar in this uncensored form, this is his best DVD and that's saying a lot, given that he is the funniest comedian working today.Unlike many comedians, Louis CK's unique view of human affairs doesn't descend into a depressing cynicism that's unbearable. He isn't goofy, cliche, or pandering, either, though he is quite vocal about his progressive politics without grand-standing. What's refreshing is not only his honesty, but the intelligence and joy with which he covers a variety of topics with an exciting delivery that can lighten any subject with his charming smile. Moreover, like all his DVDs, this contains comedic material not repeated on any other releases.
