Higher splash guard makes it perfect for boys!
I am so happy with this potty and it is just perfect for my boys. The splash guard is higher than the potette plus and when the potty is flattened out to lie on a toilet seat, the bottom is extended enough so that pee doesn’t seep through. While the hard liner is not foldable once open, it has been helpful to avoid using plastic bags. I have just ordered the silicon liner for this just to try to eliminate wasting plastic bags all together when we are out. This is an excellent potty for little boys, fits in my backpack easily, and has really done the job for us.

Major flaw
Legs collapse too easily when toddler sits on it.

Potette vs. Oxo
I am comparing the potette plus and the oxo. The potette plus is on the left and oxo on the right. The oxo is slightly larger and slightly taller, but really not that noticeable. The potette plus definitely has a better pee guard for boys and you can see in the pics the bottom of it extends into the toilet to prevent pee from coming through the gap. You can see in the pics the oxo has a pretty big gap in front and doesn’t have anything the extends down into the toilet. When I had my son test it out, pee came right out the gap and went everywhere, as I expected would happen. No leaking with the potette. The oxo wins when it comes to ease and speed of setting it up. It just snaps right into place and you push a button to lay it flat or close it. The potette is a little more finicky getting it to stand up. I wish it had the button like the oxo. If I had a girl, I would hands down pick the Oxo over the potette. Or if you only plan to use liners and have no intention of using this on a toilet then go with the Oxo. I have a boy though and plan to use this in public restrooms, I will be keeping the potette because the pee guard is just so much better. Hope this helps anyone debating between the two.The liner in the potette is pretty hard to collapse in and out. Maybe it gets easier the more you use it. I thought I would like having it cause I wasn’t sure if my son would sit on the potty with the bags, but he honestly doesn’t even seem to notice, so I probably could have done without the liner.

Love it!!!
Love it!!! The best for boys. Wish they made a silicone insert for this one as with the regular one. I have had both. Lost the 1st so repurchased with my next son. Awesome height addition for boys!!! Would say this is a must have for potty training and traveling!!! The best I have seen on market. Thank you

Once I figured out the locking mechanism
Almost returned this potty! Once I figured out the leg locking mechanism it’s been a life saver ever since. I recommend the hard insert vs the soft one. Much easier to empty. The pre guard is great for a little boy

Perfect for potty training - and car potty emergencies
Perfect portable potty. We used this at home for initial potty training - when we needed a tiny potty close by. It fits perfectly into a small backpack for going out of the house. Works great as a potty seat in public restrooms. And now I keep it in my car just in case we need a potty on the go. We have used it multiple times like that. I have set it on the floor in front of the passenger seat with a disposable bag insert inside many times when we are in a parking lot. The disposable inserts do absorb quite a lot of liquid. My only critique is that it can slide around a bit when used as a potty seat on top of a regular toilet. It wasn’t a big deal because I just held it in place as I set my toddler on top. But I do wish it gripped a little more when used in that way.

Avoid!!
Not what me & hubby thought at all when we purchased this for our 3 year old. Went to the zoo & she had to go #1 set everything up in our car & it collapsed under her & she smashed her finger!! Shes only 30lbs!! DO NOT BUY!!!!!!

FYI: Hard liner is NOT collapsible
We already have and love the Potette plus with collapsible silicone liner. But, we could definitely needed a splash guard - so was excited to buy this one. We were extra excited that it came with a reusable liner with splash guard as well! BUT, I did not realize that the liner that comes with this is not collapsible - at least, it's not meant to be - it takes some real effort to push it open when you get it, and it is meant to stay open. It is not made of silicone - the whole thing is hard plastic, so at least for me, it kind of defeats the purpose. Now, if they decide to make a silicone liner that includes a splash guard, that would be fabulous.
