to the spool. The tape left a tiny amount of residue but I simply snipped that little piece off. The colors are beautiful, and the ribbon is flat, smooth and easy to work with on the needle. It seems, from some reviews, that there are some folks who do not know what they are buying. This is NOT hair ribbon, it is NOT gift wrap ribbon, it IS ribbon intended to be used for embroidery. If a person orders it thinking it is something else that does not make the product bad, it makes the buyer uninformed. The amount of ribbon on each spool is clearly set forth in the description, and for embroidery it is a generous amount. This ribbon is comparable to the more expensive brands which I have used in the past. This ribbon will be my new ‘go to’ embroidery ribbon. Bottom line ... if you use this ribbon for its intended purpose, embroidery, I believe you will be pleased with both color and quality.

This pure silk ribbon is absolutely perfect for silk ribbon embroidery! The colors (green) make lovely leaves, and the 7mm width makes the silk embroidery very easy. The ribbons arrived each on their own spool, so there were no tangles, and the ribbon was nice and smooth. I've also bought other colors of silk ribbons from ThreadNanny, and all have been wonderful. If you need silk ribbon with a nice mix of greens, I recommend this product.

Love the the variety of greens perfect for leaves, stems of flowers.trees, etc. Ribbon is wound on spool making I it easier to store,, plus fewer wrinkles to deal with. The length of ribbon is much more than I usually find. Delivery time was great too. Very pleased with the product.

There's one thing some embroiderers don't do and that's using shading in their work. These various greens really help with making a silk embroidery 3 dimensional. It gives the "ooh" in the hours put into an art I thought nearly died off. The silk ribbon is sturdy and easy to work with.

The ribbon snags and tends to run where the embroidery needle is inserted into it to get it secured. Won't be buying this brand again.

Nice silk ribbon. Wanted to learn to ribbon embroider, this is a good price for what you get. Silky and rich colors.
