It is all plastic, lightweight, and at first glance you will not be impressed. It peels potato’s and apples like nobody’s business. It does what it says it will do and I love it.

We got this to peel pears as our tired arthritic hands needed a reprieve. This peeled them perfectly and we probably did 50 pounds of fruit without a single failure. It paid for itself in one day! It peeled apples perfectly also but then we had to core them, whereas an apple peeler/corer is better, when it works! Don't know how it works on potatoes or anything else. It is a huge time saver. The photos make it appear to be stainless steel but it is not; it is silver plastic so we were gentle with it and it did not break.

Even though it appears cheaply made, I love how it peels. Due to hand issues, I can no longer grip potato peelers. This allows me to pull lots of potatoes and with the auto shutoff I don’t have to stand next to it. I can be working on other projects and just switch the taters out.It makes a clean peel too, no residue left on potato to have to wash off.

I peeled 11 apples with this fruit peeler. These are the first 3 and there are 5 more just like them; only 3 were peeled correctly and that is not acceptable performance for me. If there is the tiniest flaw in the fruit (i.e. bruise, dent, asymmetrical shape...) it stops peeling for several rotations. This does not save me time and actually wastes more fruit flesh than peeling the apples by hand. Very disappointed, I am returning it.

Where have you been all of my life? As someone who hates peeling potatoes, I would buy this little gadget again! I have peeled everything from apples to potatoes to kiwi! So worth purchasing this!

It was simple to use. We just plugged it in and as we have pears keep using it. No issues at all. It works better than we anticipated.
