Excellent textbook. Great examples and very easy to follow. I'm not even planning on being a structural engineer but I really enjoyed this class and the book was a big part of it.

Textbook or Website?
Why are Chapters 23 and 24 no longer included in the textbook? They have been removed from the earlier editions of the text, and are now accessible on the book's website only. Chapter 23 contains material on the Yield Line Theory for slabs. Over my 25 years of practicing and teaching structural engineering, I have found the Yield Line Method to be an excellent design tool. Having to access the website is a major inconvenience and an awful idea from the publishers. As a consequence, I have switched to another textbook for my Concrete Design classes. I wonder what type of mentality comes up with such innovative (!) ideas.

The due date is not reasonable for some universities !
The final exam week is from the 17th of December to the 21st !! the due date should be extended to the 21st!

The hardcover binding pasting is detached from the book. And also amazon is refusing to replace the product. Hence Amazon must refund the entire product cost as they failed to replace it. I will not return the original product incase of the refund method.

This book is indispensable for both students and practicing engineers. I would recommend using the ACI 318-14 together with this book. They complement each other This is an INVALUABLE book for those planning on taking the PE Exam. Read it carefully.
