We live in Ohio and every spring/summer we have a backyard full of quick growing brush, vines, and other invasive plants that need to be heavily cut/trimmed/taken down. Normally, my father is the person who takes care of this as it requires heavy machinery and a lot of time and my mother is disabled. He underwent triple bypass heart surgery last fall, therefore he can no longer do this kind of work and I'm having to step in and take care of it on my own. Due to both of my parents having a lot of medical procedures and such last year, the backyard did not get the attention that it normally would have had, so this year it's basically like trimming/cleaning up 2 years worth of heavy growth.Long story short, I started trimming in June. I know that poison ivy/oak grows pretty heavily down there, but in my 30+ years I've never reacted so I wasn't overly worried. I wore long sleeves, gloves, etc. so I thought that I was pretty prepared....boy was I wrong.3 days after starting the initial trimming work I broke out with rashes all over my face, neck, hands, arms, and anywhere on my body that had even a tiny bit of skin showing. I ended up on heavy steroids for multiple weeks and was absolutely miserable for 3 weeks.I started looking online for something to help as I still have a lot of work to do and have no other resources to rely on. I found this product and decided to give it a chance.I ordered the gel and the wipes, heavily prepped all of my skin, covered as much as I could with clothing and went to work. That was 3 weeks ago; did I have a few bumps here and there, yes, BUT, everywhere I used this product stayed 99% poison ivy free. It's super easy to apply, doesn't have a bad odor, and spreads smoothly across your skin.No steroids required after this work outing, my face didn't swell, didn't have to miss work or get weird stares.I HIGHLY recommend this product if you know you're going to be in contact with anything that may have poison ivy/oak/sumac and you are someone who is sensitive/allergic to these things. Even if you don't think you're allergic, I didn't think I was either, so you may want to play it safe and prepare anyway.Trust me, the alternative is not fun and this product is super affordable to help keep you from being miserable.

This is the only product I use when it comes to dealing with poison ivy. Great product!

I used it the first couple of days, no poison ivy. But the third day I didn't use it because I didn't think I would be near it. But I picked up big rocks to move them and they were washed the day before from the poison ivy area. And guess what, now I have poison ivy on my arms. Next time I will defiantly use it when I am outside.

My wife is highly susceptible to get poison ivy, seems like she just looks at it and breaks out. After she sprayed this on her legs etc., she worked out in the yard and did not break out at all. I would recommend this product.

Our back yard is riddled with poison ivy and my husband has gotten it a few times, once really bad. This ivy block is like sunscreen for poison ivy. My husband put it on, cleared out one whole area of our yard and only got a few spots of poison ivy on his face that went away after a few days. I recommend it to all my friends and family.

I lathered myself with it and then put on long sleeves, gloves and pants, and had a small reaction to the poison ivy that I was pulling out. Still better than not having anything on.
