Great food, suffers from a few minor flaws
First, Amazon's image shows the Happy Hips formula when this is Vitalty. No biggie if you're paying attention but I'm sure I'm not the only one who has alerted Amazon...yet they do nothing to fix it. There IS a slight difference in the two formulas so do beware of that. I've been feeding Dogswell canned food for 3 yrs now to my Boston Terriers. Happy Hips has more Glucosamine and fewer calories. The GOOD:My dogs had been fed homemade food before I finally grew exhausted and tried this. There was zero transitional gas which any dog owner knows is a relief. That's a good sign of quality food. (I tried a Dogswell lamb version and it was too rich so I stick to chicken). Three years in and gas is still not a problem. This brand, to the best of my knowledge has never been involved in a recall. I trust them as much as I trust any dogfood in this day and age.My picky eaters actually eat it! What good does a quality food do if Fido says um NO way!?Quality, human grade ingredients. Prolly higher quality than we get from some taco drive-thrus. You can see the pieces, actually identify the carrots, etc.Amazon prices this cheaper than anywhere on the Web or at brick and mortar. Especially if you get the subscription.Read the nutrition....it's as good as just about any food out there, sans maybe doing it at home yourself. My Bostons' coats are lovely, energy level good, they don't drink massive quantities of water after eating it, and it's not full of fillers. Oh and their bowel movements are as ideal as I could hope for. Sorry, but you can tell a lot by a BM; this stuff is good. What it doesn't have: NO soy, corn, rice, gluten, wheat (even if you stop there, that's fantastic), BHA/BHT, rendered poultry, added hormones, artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. CHICKEN IS THE FIRST INGREDIENT and there's a lot of it in each can.The BAD:Well, it may not actually be a terrible thing if every can is slightly different due to truly using human grade ingredients, but some cans are mushy and seem 80% gravy. Others are chunky and dry. Does make you scratch your head. In fairness, all these years this inconsistency has remained consistent. So the batches varying doesn't really concern me as much as it maybe should. The price. Amazon cannot be beat but in a multi dog household, I'm still shelling out the big bucks. The cans...occasionally arrive dented. Usually just 2 or 3, never enough to send back, but c'mon, Amazon., too pricey to not receive pristine quality. The amount needed- if you read the can, you need quite a bit to achieve ideal nutrition IF you're not augmenting with dry food. I try to avoid feeding dry so I go through a lot of this. Here's the recommended feeding levels if feeding ONLY wet: 1/2 can for every 10 lbs of body weight. If you've got a 100 lb dog, yikes!So...this is great stuff that all my dogs happily eat. They have remained as healthy and happy on this stuff as anything I have ever tried...and back when they were younger I think I tried literally every high end food, got frustrated and fed them homemade, then discovered this stuff and my worries were over.INFO ON THE BACK:939 Kcal/kg 347 Kcal/can MECrude protein 8.0, crude fat 4.0, crude fiber 1.0, moisture 82.0, Glucosamine 380 mg/kg, Chondroitin 220 mg/kg

My dogs LOVE Dogswell Vitality for Dogs, Duck & Sweet Potato Stew Recipe, and my cats vie for it, too!
My dogs LOVE Dogswell Vitality for Dogs, Duck & Sweet Potato Stew Recipe, and my cats vie for it, too! I referenced the Dog Food Advisor web-site to find a 5 Star wet dog food to purchase with ingredients I LIKED, and this fit the bill. It appears to be a fairly "hearty" stew with chunks of meat (I assume a combination of the meats listed are in each of the chunks) and clearly identifiable vegetables in a thick broth, and there is a nice ratio of each; it, also, smells like stew. All my fur-children know the can, now, and besiege me when I go to add it to the dry food (yes, the dogs back off, but the cats, not so much) - LOL! I like the quality, and I'll be purchasing it again.

Our favorite
**When changing dog food, always mix in a little bit of the old to prevent your dog from getting a loose stomach*Our fur kids love this stuff. I have to hide the can in the recycling bin otherwise they will steal it and spend all day licking it. When we switched to this brand, their entire health and well being transformed. They went from slugs to bouncing around the house like puppies. I kind of panic when I can't find this food or it is higher in price because I know I will get the stink eye from the hound dogs if I try to pass something else off on them.Thank you Dogswell!

I love this dog food
I love this dog food. My dogs love it too. I started with the Happy Hips formula a couple years ago to help my aging Shepard and it worked wonders for her. I recommended it to a friend of mine with two aging large dogs who had creaky hips and she had the same great experience I did. After my Shepard passed on, I started with this formula for my other two. The change was gradual but they are more active now at 4 and 6 years old than they were at two or three. They are healthy, happy, and oddly enough calmer than they were before I started giving them Vitality. One of them has a finicky stomach and gets ill on some food, but tolerates Vitality very well. I am delighted to be able to get this at Amazon as my local grocery doesn't always have it in stock. And I never want to be without it at breakfast time again!

Great value!
The first thing I look at when buying new food for my picky dog is the ingredients list. Everything looks good here and the food receives a 5-star rating on Dog Food Advisor. Next is to check to see if it is made in the USA, which this is. Finally, is the cost worth it? At a $1.50 or so a can, I don't think there is a better value in the marketplace. I've been feeding this to my dog for several weeks now and she loves it. It doesn't look or smell unappetizing when coming out of the can, which is a plus. My dog's stools are solid and the food seems to agree with her, so I will definitely stick with this for some time.

Healthy Dog Food
The dogs really like this food. I was buying a more expensive brand but I think this is comparable. The only thing I am not sure about is whether the cans are free of BPA's. I have searching for such food for quite a while and one that does not break the bank. But this has good ingredients and my little Chihuahua likes it much better than the even spendier brand. I think the price is good for a good quality food. This dog can't chew kibble so he needs a soft one. I add a little to the kibble my other two dogs (dachshund's) eat. Of course they love it and love to eat way too much.

Our Doxie loves it...
We usually buy Dogswell Happy Hips for our Doxie's breakfast meal (he only gets 1/3 can each morning). But suddenly the price of Happy Hips soared.. When comparing the ingredients, this is the same recipe, it just doesn't include the glucosamine, so we bought it instead. He loves it as much as his Happy Hips, so I can't complain. We worry a lot about the quality of our furry childrens foods, but after researching this company, it seems to be one of the safer pet food company's out there... Interestingly, the price of Happy Hips came back down so the next case we get will be Happy Hips, only for the added benefit of the glucosamine.
