Great sound, easy to use, incredible value for the price
I've used various multi-effects and amp modeling hardware over the years, ranging from Line 6 PODs to Fractal gear. The GE300 absolutely competes with the very best of them, both in terms of tone/sound and ease of use. Other reviews go in-depth into all the features, so I won't repeat them all here, but in short the amp modeling is quite respectable, the effects are wide-ranging and top notch, and it's significantly easier to use and tweak than units like the Fractal, which requires an engineering degree. Then there are the bonuses like the amazing synth block that does the same job as the much pricier Boss SY-300 Guitar Synthesizer (I should know as I own one of those as well, and am actively considering selling it now that I have the GE300), and the USB input connectivity that allows for easy and high-quality recording with your favorite DAW.I highly recommend the GE300 for anyone who wants to explore the vast world of amp, effects and synth modeling with an intuitive, easy to manipulate unit - and at a very reasonable price.

Opened the box, doesn't work, asked Mooer for support and fix, no answer
The media could not be loaded. Two weeks ago, I bought a new unit Mooer GE300, using Amazon marketplace in United States and delivered directly from Mooer.I live in Brazil, and as soon as I came back home, I opened the box, read the Quick Start Guide provided in the box, instaled using Connect 5: GUITAR AMPLIFIER, and it didn't work. There is a DSP Error instead, which I'm not able to fix or reset, because device is locked.Asked for a warranty support from the official distributor in Brazil, which was denied because I bought my unit in United States.Asked for the global support rights from Mooer, using thir Web Site, no answer.Need a solution from Amazon or Mooer, once Warranty is global

Amazing modeler and multi-effects unit
As a gigging cover band guitarist, I tend to need quite a few different effects for the variety of music my bands play. Every few years I go back and forth between a regular pedalboard and a multi-effects unit. For the last several years I was using a regular pedalboard that was starting to grow in size and becoming a pain to manage. Plus, I was always finding that I didn't have enough room for all the effects I wanted and always had to leave one or two out for each gig.I decided to look for a multi-effects unit that could take the place of my pedalboard and give me all of the effects I needed, stored in different patches. Earlier this year I bought a Line 6 HXFX. At the time I bought it, this Mooer wasn't on the market yet. I like the HXFX but had some issues with noise in its effects loop. I ended up sending it in for repair and while it was there I stumbled across this Mooer. I have a bunch of the Mooer mini pedals and really like them so I decided to try this thing out.Very impressive unit!! I didn't buy it to use as a modeler, I just wanted a multi-effects unit that could give me a bunch of different effects without requiring a giant pedalboard. This does it perfectly. All of the effects I use are in here and they are excellent. Distortion, fuzz, overdrive, delay, reverb, flanger, phaser, chorus, compressor, auto-wah, envelope filter, EQ, boost, plenty of each of all of those to choose from. The user interface is simpler to use than the HXFX. The HXFX has more routing options though. In a way, this keeps your signal chain much less complicated and makes it easier to program, in my opinion. I actually like the way it's set up.It also has an external control jack that will let you set up one of the buttons to change channels on your amp. It's a very simple design and will only work with amps that have their footswitches wired in a standard way but it's a great thing to have.Like I mentioned, I bought this to use as a multi-effects unit to replace all of my analog pedals. But, the big surprise for me was the amp and cab modeling. I had to buy a USB interface (PreSonus 96) so I could run it into my computer without any latency but once I got that set up, I was extremely impressed by how good the amp and cab models are.Just like any device that has as many effects, amp models, cab models, as this unit, you will have to tweak them to your liking, but it's amazing to have over 100 different amps and something like 30+ cabinets at your disposal. It also lets you choose from several mics to put in front of the "cab" and change things like whether the mic is on the center or the edge of the speaker, how far away it is, whether it's picking up room reflections or not, etc..I recorded some clips of some of my tube amps and some of the models in the GE300 and no one could really tell which was the model and which was the tube amp. The modeling on this is that good.It was a very pleasant surprise and I haven't stopped playing with the different models since I got it.It has a built in effects loop, so if you use this as just an effects unit with your regular amps, you can wire it in 4CM and have some effects in front of your amp and others in your amp's effects loop. You can customize the input and output levels however you want, you can even change where in the signal chain the outputs are.Basically it has a bunch of different configuration options, but despite that, it's incredibly easy and intuitive to configure.I spent the first couple of days with it setting it up for live use with my regular amps. I set up 9 different pedalboards so I could have access to all of the effects I need at gigs just by changing presets and patches.Bottom line, this is an awesome unit whether you want it as an amp/cab modeler or as a multi-effects unit, or as both. In my opinion it's as good as the Line 6 HXFX as an effects unit, and it also has amp/cab modeling which the HX doesn't have.I'd say this is more comparable to the Helix LT but without the LT's expression pedal, at less than half the price. It's also as small as the HXFX so it makes it perfect for someone like me for whom floor space on small stages is very important. At the time I'm writing this review, there aren't a lot of video reviews of it because it's a relatively new product and was released during Covid so distribution hasn't been all that great, but check out the videos of the regular GE300. This is the same thing only without the synth module and the expression pedal. The looper is also more limited, but the amp/cab/effect models are essentially the same so if you want to check out a video of how this sounds and want more than the couple that are out there for this unit right now, just watch the GE300 videos. If I have to mention any complaints, its the Windows driver for the unit. It's horrible. It failed to install properly and I had to spend hours getting it to work. Mooer has a Facebook group for this unit and there are a whole bunch of other people there that reported the exact same issues I had. In addition to the driver, the Windows app for it is a bit wonky too. It has quite a few quirks that need to be ironed out.::Edit:: 3/18/2021 -- Be aware, although I still love this unit, Mooer's support in the US is almost nonexistent. My GE300 Lite has stopped working and I've been unable to find a way to get it serviced. Their US distributor is not a service center and Mooer's only contact for service is one person overseas. He's very difficult to get ahold of and I can't find any list of authorized service centers in the US. So, really cool product but the company's service (or lack of service) in the US is disappointing. Will update the review if anything changes.

Very good , but outdated for 2023
Great soundGreat interfaceGreat output optionsCons- Pitch shifter is very poor (doesn't work for drop tune)- limited chain of effects- doesn't have preset volume like ge250 has- a few thing could be improved by software but there aren't new updates. Latest from 2019...- terrible website- which I had bought GX100 instead

Hardware is amazing for the price. Software needs work.
I’ll try to keep this as short as possible with the best info I can provide with my experience. The sounds are good stock. Using the mooer studio to load captures of preamps and then buying a good IR cab you can get some seriously amazing amp sounds. Effects are alright. Drives are better than reverbs and mods. Things to know…1. . Download both the ge300 and ge300 lite software. Downloading just the lite didn’t work for me seemed like files were missing. (On pc)2. As of right now, you can’t load a drive pedal capture on pc. Only amps and cabs. Which I was pretty disappointed about.3. It seems like no one really using these things so the online community and captures are pretty scarce right now.4, download the ge300 driver from the website for recording. Wasnt playing nice with other generic asio drivers I had.Using for mainly recording and sounds better than any plugins I’ve used and way easier than having to mic amps.I can’t believe more people aren’t taking about this pedal at this price point.

Great quality and value
Very nice selection of tones and lots of control. Very good quality for the price! I bring it to practice with me every week and it replaces my pedalboard completely because it simply does everything I need in one little box. This is the price of no more than 5 - 10 pedals, so in the long run, this is significantly cheaper than building a pedal borad, and definitely has way more options than 10 pedals. The cabinet sim is very nice for recording too. I have had it for a couple months and have had no problems. For the price, this is hands down the best modler you're going to get.
