All aboard for adventure! Thomas the Tank Engine always starts his day at the Tidmouth Shed on Sodor Island. But where he goes from there is now up to the imaginations and fingertips of young engineers. This Thomas at Tidmouth Sheds set is a large remote control track built with the technology of other Thomas & Friends TrackMaster sets. Kids use the controller to move Thomas forward or backward around the track that includes a bridge, tunnel, and the famous shed yard. Kids can also play cool sound effects like hissing steam, train whistles and the Thomas & Friends theme song that emit from the controller. Tidmouth Sheds Kids control where Thomas goes with this remote control track that includes a bridge, tunnel, and sheds. As Thomas is guided around the track, his engine chugs and he says things like "I think I'll go for a ride" or "I keep whistling, don't I?" When it's time for bed a twist of the turntable at Tidmouth Sheds allows Thomas to return home. The shed doors open and close as the big blue engine enters or exits. Whether acting out scenes from their favorite Thomas & Friends shows or dreaming up their own inventive journeys, Tidmouth Sheds makes it easy for child conductors to put their story in motion. Track system includes: bridge, three-way tunnel/helicopter landing pad, the famous Tidmouth Sheds Yard. Remote control include the following functions: moves Thomas forward or backward around the track, moves Thomas continuously forward, controller plays real train sounds, controller plays Thomas & Friends theme song, on/off switch. Recommended ages 3 and up

Great Set With Super Glue!
I was initially frightened away from purchasing the Trackmaster Tidmouth Sheds, but ultimately decided to give it a try, as I figured that perhaps the others weren't putting the shed together properly. I quickly learned that all of the reviews were absolutely correct. The design is quite poor with respect to keeping the shed together. However, all of the durability issues can be solved by applying about four packages of super glue to bond the shed parts together with the turntable. So, if you buy this product, plan to spend another $15 or so on super glue. That is the only way you'll get enjoyment out of this product.

Lots of fun
This was a Christmas present for my 6-year-old son who LOVES all things Thomas. He loves it and has a blast playing with it, which is the entire point, but I wasn't as thrilled. The building is made of cheap plastic and is difficult to put together. Then, when you finally get it put together, it falls apart if someone looks at it wrong. The tracks and the turntable are good and solid, though, and the toy is fun to play with. Good for creativity. My son builds some really elaborate tracks! I don't think it's worth the amount they charge for it though, but overall... I'd buy it again.

Disappointing Thomas Tidsmouth Shed
This item was bought for my 6 year old grandson...it was the only item on his "wish list". How disappointing to open it, put the tracks together and then have the screws stripped while trying to get batteries in the engine. The proper screwdriver was used but as we were unscrewing it, it was literally shredded silver and stripped on first try. No batteries were able to be installed and he was not able to use the remote to play with his new train set on christmas morning. We have never encountered a problem as such with any other Thomas toy. Try explaining to a 6-year old on Christmas morning why he the train set won't do what it's supposed to.

Too fragile
I got ripped off.. cuz Fisher-Price forgot to include the super glue along with the packaging.Seriously, this thing is intended for children, so why does the shed fall apart when you walk by it. Trackmaster line went downhill when Fisher-Price took over. My son and I are big fans of Trackmaster but this thing is garbage.

fun but flimsy
The shed is cute and my son likes having it but the pieces come apart easily making it a pain to constantly be putting it back together. I honestly wouldn't recommend it because of the price.

Grrrr
Like all the other reviewers, this toy is hard to keep together....but why the 4 starts for fun? The R/C Thomas. It's the only piece worth anything with this set.Tidmouth Shed is going to be glue gunned pretty soon, b/c at the slightest tap, the entire thing falls apart. The snaps don't really hold it all in place. Think cardboard box that's missing the entire back half with toothpicks for support beams. UGH!!! It's nice having the extra tracks. We have now opted to play with the tidmouth shed w/o the shed part. Without it, then this toy RULES.Thomas - instant character recognition.Tracks - great b/c we have a handful of random trackmaster toys/tracks.LOVE LOVE LOVE the R/C thomas - it's super fun. My son loves it. It's teaching him hand/eye coordination, cause and effect. He's 2 and is obsessed with Thomas, this will give him just more to continue the obsession. It's also great for us b/c of our sporadic sets, we don't have something that's put together intricately where it all turns into a giant loop. 1 big circle gets old, even for a 2 year old. So having some curves and turns and then ability for him to back up the train to get it headed in the opposite direction is nice. He's getting the hang of the R/C. He loves anything with a remote so this is great. I'm so happy we got the R/C thomas, not so happy about tidmouth shed. It might turn to scraps for a Sodor Junkyard pretty soon.Beyond that, the turner on the shed works smoothly, very easy for a 2 year old to get. The tracks/directions are easy to follow.

Sheds Impossible to Keep Assembled
My children really like Trackmaster Thomas toys with the exception of this. The problem is that you have to assemble the sheds and they fall apart if touched. Before Fisher Price offered Trackmaster, it was distributed by Hit Toys. Search Amazon for "Hit Toys Thomas at Tidmouth Sheds" and you'll see more reviewers with the same problem. It took me an hour to get the sheds together and then about 5 minutes of play for them to fall apart. It became frustrating to both me and my children. After about a week of trying to make the sheds work we gave up. The other items in the set are nice, but the sheds is what children want the most.

Not as bad as other reviews say
I don't think this set is as bad as the other reviewers have noted, but I agree that the shed does have some issues staying together. However, it doesn't just fall apart on it's own (at least ours doesn't). Of course it could certainly be more sturdy, but my two kids don't care and it's easy to put back together. I also was able to find this set for much cheaper than the current price (about half off) at a different store in town, so that could be a factor in my more positive view of it. I do really like the remote control Thomas, which I didn't think would be all that fun. My kids get a kick out of it allowing him to go forward and backward as well as the sounds and theme song that it plays. All in all I think this is a good addition to our other Trackmaster sets and track and recommend it if you can get a good deal on the price.
