I love my GoPro Hero 3+ Silver edition. It really is an incredible bit of technology capable eye popping pictures and videos. But for awesome of a product it is, I really don't think you'll get the full potential of this device by using the very limited manual that comes with it.I haven't read many other manuals concerning my camera, but this book has been /very/ helpful. It covers teaching you the basics of your camera as well as the basics of POV cameras and photography. Introduction to video and camera settings. A break down of most mounts, their most and least beneficial uses. Even how to make your own home made mounts.How to recognize and make the best of lighting situations to using the editing software you can (and should) download from GoPro.It's easy to read and follow and really prepares / educates the new GoPro user. Worth the price.

If you're new to Go Pro cameras, this is a very good resource to get you started. Don't expect extreme details on features or How-To, but you get enough info to understand most of the settings and shooting modes. The author spent too much ink explaining the uses of the numerous Go Pro mounts. If you want to avoid the reading the small print in the Go Pro manual and want a bit more information than the numerous Youtube video, then this is a good buy. The author does provide TIPS in each section of this eBook. It also allows you to quickly and easily highlight and and write notes on the fly. Worth the $10.

I have been using GoPro Cameras for a while now and wanted to expand my knowledge base. After reading the book cover to cover, I realized this book is mostly for those that are brand new to the GoPro cameras. That being said, it's well written and well illustrated with easy to follow directions. I did get some handy tips on time lapse video. There is a lot of info on the various mounts that GoPro offers and when to use them. I would recommend this book to anyone just starting out with a GoPro.

I'm an amateur photographer and new to go pro. This was a great book for anyone. Lots of info on settings, how-to' sand easy to understand explanations. It's very well written and I got lots of great tips and ideas. I also really liked how they show what version of go pro has which settings (made me feel even better going for the hero3+black) so you know what your camera can vs can't do.If you're interested in mounts this book has a TON of info on mounts, in fact it's probably 40% of the book, a bit too much on mounting for me, but I understand why it's there. Overall A+.

Using the Go Pro Hero 3+ BE is like a big experiment. I have found external microphone a great addition for recording audio. The wide-medium-long lenses are 14-21-28mm. Great for personal photography, but too short for shoots that require 50-300 mm lenses. Hetrick's book provides invaluable information for users getting started with the Go Pro series.

I have been using GoPro cameras for about 3 years now - attached to my motorcycle. I recently purchased the Hero 3 Black Edition. This book helped me get a good understanding of the basics of the new system and how to mount it. Particularly helpful to me was the information regarding GoPro Studio. For both the GoPro camera and GoPro Studio, I found helpful information that I have already put to good use. Recommended for new owners and users who want a broad overview of the camera.

The books covers all the bases. It covers the what's and enough of the why's of all the steps required to create a video or slide show. This allows quick return on the investment, and guides you into experimenting and going further into the world of this amazing camera capability. A great buy.

It is a good guide, probably the best one available so far. You will find very very basic instructions to operate your GoPro as well as some interesting tips. There is a whole section on whole to mount your camera on many of the accessories that you can get on the market although this is pretty straight forward in my opinion. The editing section is very useful to get some initial steps on how to publish great videos.
