Advanced Nutrients GL523800-14 Fertilizer & Soil, 1 Liter, Natural

First of all I want to know what's really in here and why did the small amount I spilled melt my carpet and also the seal on the bottle.I find it hard to believe that a company that charges such a premium price would sell them in such a cheap,useless bottle,it does not seal,no matter how tight you make the cap the bottle still blows air out the cap if you squeeze the bottle,and forget about trying to pour out of their crappy bottles without spilling.Does this product work,yes it does,but not well enough to justify the price and the cheap useless bottle.I guess Advanced Nutrients is only interested in their profits,not their product.Quit spending so much money on the massive amount of advertising you do,and try getting some better bottles.

This stuff is amazingly strong, so wear gloves, goggles, and long sleeves while handling. This is easy to use, and a little goes a long way. The other brand I had to use 2.5ml a gal to get to where I needed to be with my tap water, this stuff I only need about 1/4ml(.25)a gal ! Hopefully this stuff holds the pH where it needs to be for longer than the other brand. I will update this review if my star should change for any reason.--UPDATE--This stuff works absolutely fantastic! As I said earlier I only have to use 1/4ml/gal, instead of 2.5ml/gal and it is VERY stable, in a 24h period it will only move from like 6.0pH to 6.3pH, which is nothing compared to the other brand, which would be back to what my tap is originally at. I can't say enough good stuff about this product, I wouldn't buy any of their other products, but this ones legit.

We started a hydroponics system for the outdoors this year. We grew lettuce, strawberries, tomatoes and peppers. We started this in April / May and followed as many helpful hints as possible. We have always had trouble keeping our pH constant. We would get it to 5.5 in the morning, and by evening back up to 7.5. We would adjust and again right back to where it was prior. Now comes in this product. We were skeptical, because the stuff we had would lower it very well, just could not maintain. The stuff we were using was citric acid based and this is phosphoric based. Different type of acid to lower pH. We put it in, and we always would guess the next day where it would be and usually get close. Well to our surprise, this stuff held very constant and uses very little to boot to get there. Win / Win.I did see some posts where it leaked in the package. Ours was in a box with air pillows around it. I could see where UPS was rough with it, but luckily ours did not leak. I could see how it could happen. I do agree, once opened, the lid seems to not seal well later. I will look into using a transfer bottle one that is smaller and just use from it. I think that will work fine. I do not suggest being careless with this product as it is a stronger solution as it is advertised, and does its job. Saying that, use good judgement when using. Thanks for a great product.

Super good product just kind of tired of everything having pot stuff on it. Growing vegetables indoors in a pot illegal state I don't want the chance of my door getting kicked in for no reason. A lemon guy or something cause it's acid? I was highly considering getting GH cause of this if it wasn't for the superior reviews. Honestly you could probably get away with a plain white bottle with the word down on it considering how well your products are received. Its not that I hate pot, quite the opposite actually. If it was legal here I'd smoke it. Just don't like it on everything. Kind of like a stoner buddy wearing a giant pot leaf t shirt, the hat, rasta colored shoes and the sweat band basically screaming search me I'm an idiot. Its overkill, where a normal t-shirt dude. Sorry for the star, I did think on it quite a bit before making this choice though.

This is the strongest PH Down period. Be careful, it's highly concentrated and will burn you with only a drop, use gloves and for most only a long dropper to transfer to your nutrient solution. Also this time I received a hand sprayer that can be screwed on the top of the bottle. I highly recommend that you do not use this as all sprayers spray all over and this is a strong acid which could cause major harm to your skin and nasal passages. I wish they had given a long plastic dropper instead, which would have been much safer and more useful. To the manufacture please change as someone will have a major burn if they use the sprayer without proper protection. I suggest using the sprayer for misting nutes in diluted form.

As far as if it works, it’s worth the $. Just use a bit less than suggested, adjust as necessary and it’ll help lower pH fast. My only complaint is that when I opened the box, the bottle had somehow leaked and coated the bottle. Since there was no evidence of leakage anywhere, it was impossible for me to know the bottle was coated in the liquid and I grabbed it w my hand. So use gloves-just in case. The company really needs to use better bottles as many of the other reviews suggest.

I have been using standard aquarium type ph down for years and am constantly adjusting ph. 3-4 times a day during heavy growth. Not anymore! This stuff gets your ph down and keeps it there longer. My ph hardly drifts back up at all throughout the day now. I don't know what is in here for a buffer but it works. Also, the strength is unreal. I used to use about 10ml to drop my ph .2-.3 in my 8 gallon res but with this stuff it only takes 2-3 ml. This bottle will last forever at that rate! If you are fighting to keep ph down, this is what you need hands down!

This is way stronger and thus requires a lot less than general hydro ph down. Use precautions as directed, I imagine on skin it would be quite caustic, but it works well, holds Ph stable, much better value. This bottle will probably last me 5x what GH pH down would using equal amounts. No complaints, save your money and go with the strong stuff, just be careful. Buy a plastic dropper, gloves, eye protection.

This is one of the best pH Down products that I've used. With most I need to use 6ml per gallon to bring it to 5.5-6.5 from 8.0. With this I use 1ml per gallon, then every couple days I only have to add literally a few drops to keep it from going out of range. Actually the highest I've seen it go was 6.3 over 10 days. It holds way better then most. As most I need to reuse 6ml a gallon every 24hrs to keep it within range. And I mean it would be at 7.5 after 24 hrs.

Very concentrated.Need 2 ml for 3 gal.Completely satisfied.
