Worked in my Dell XPS8930
Power supply died in my Dell XPS8930, after about six years. Computer left on 85% of the time, so I can’t really complain. This item fit properly, has all the necessary connectors, and worked out of the box — well, not out of the box because I was pretty surprised to see it didn’t come in a box but was simply wrapped as shown in the photo. This item was about a half pound lighter than the original, at 2.75 vs 3.25, but all worked and seemed to pass the stress test. We will see how long it lasts.

Works fine, but a little noisy
Easy enough to install but the fan does make a noticeable noise the entire time it is plugged in. The Dell OEM part was virtually silent.

Worked for Dell XPS 8930
From pictures and comments seemed this power supply would work for a Dell XPS8930 system. It worked well in that it fit in the power supply cage on the Dell and the holes lined up to attach it. You do have to separate an 8 pin power supply line into two 4 pin power supplies by sliding them apart. I checked this power supply with a new tester and seemed to have right voltages. I didn't think the fan in the power supply was loud. So overall very pleased with this power supply and hoping it lasts several years.

It worked exactly as expected
There are extra connectors so it’s a good idea to make sure you take pics of what you are replacing to speed up the installation process.(Dell XPS 8900) Found it also super silent from the original system which had failed.

DEAD 6 months after install
UPDATE 24May2024: The power supply DIED. Really? Am I unlucky or is this crappy quality? ORIG REVIEW NOV 2023:The CPU on my XPS8900 has a 12v 4 pin connector and this power supply does not have a 4 pin connector. I see on the specs that there is a "4pin*2" CPU power supply. I took a harder look and saw that the "8 pin" plug I'd previously seen is intended to be snapped in half. A lot of time could've been saved if they'd done that at assembly. And regarding "tech support"? I'm not sure where the "24 hr response tech support" is accessed from but I can't find a place. Even the "ask a question" section has none of the supposed 19 responses available and there's no place to add one. I'd set this up for a return but it is now installed and working since I discovered the "8 pin" was actually 2 4 pins. Either some instructions or if the tech support actually existed it would've saved me a couple days.
