Co-Line Locakable 2-Way Livestock Junior Gate Latch

The Co-Line Lockable 2-Way Livestock Junior Gate Latch secures my yard containing nine intelligent dogs, and I must say, this product exceeded my expectations. The latch is incredibly well-built and provides a reliable solution for keeping my dogs safely contained within the yard. The two-way functionality adds an extra layer of security, ensuring that the gate remains locked and secure from both sides. This feature has proven to be invaluable, especially with many large dogs, as it prevents accidental escapes. Installation was straightforward, although I was disappointed that the bolts were not included. Despite this minor inconvenience, the latch itself is of such high quality that it overshadowed any initial frustration. Once properly installed with the necessary bolts, the gate latch operated seamlessly. The durability of the Co-Line Livestock Junior Gate Latch is impressive, standing up to the strength and intelligence of my canine companions. I appreciate the peace of mind it provides, knowing that my dogs are contained and secure within the yard. Overall performance and reliability of this gate latch make it a worthwhile purchase.

Have been using this daily as a main entry point from driveway to yard for over three years, and it has been rock solid. Very impressed with how sturdy it has been over time, especially that it has not loosened over time being used on a self closing spring gate with quite a bit of force. Great solution for tall animals, at a great price point.

Disappointed that all attaching hardware is not included. It’s a struggle to get non moveable side on the gate. My best advice is keep looking before you settle on this latch

Excellent gate latch! Allows gate to open either direction and automatically latches when the gate swings back into closed position.

The gate locks works very well and easy to operate in both directions. Make sure to select the correct model if installing onto a round tube fence design(JR for smaller tube diameter. Product does not come with mounting hardware clamps for the latching side, so two additional half round mounting clamps are needed if mounting to a round tube or quantity 4 wood screws if mounting to a flat wood post. I would have given the product a score of 5 if all needed mounting hardware was included!

My gate is 1 5/8” OD, this lock will not fit as advertised, it also does not come with ubolts to secure to pipe which makes it less of a good buy. The product is USA made and sturdy but is nothing worth buying unless pipe is 1 1/2” OD.

I really like this unit! It is very easy to install and once you set it up and get it nice and adjusted, it work super! Everyone that comes to my house always asks me about it , they like how easy it is to go in and out the fenced area! Even a contractor guy liked it and asked about it!

I am impressed at the quality and stoutness of this gate latch. The welds are very good and having been a welder I appreciate this. I have not installed it yet but it looks to be very straightforward. Update: Installed today and made a small modification to insure the gate only opens in one direction by installing a 1/4” bolt to lock the opposite latch arm. This is important for some local codes for those with pools. You can also install this latch without U-Bolts like I did using two 1/4" carriage bolts, a more secure installation in my opinion less likely to shift. Love this latch!
