I picked up a few tools to start working on my lathe. Of them, these cut the most consistently. Added benefit is the cutting surface for all of them are at the same height, so even if I change them out, I can use the same shimming for the other ones.I do recommend getting a feeler gauge or shim stock to make sure they're cutting on centerline if you're just getting started and considering tools.

i like the tooling that i purchased, they cut much better than a set that i purchased before and the replaceable tips dont break off like those did. good quality for the money

After having these a while and going through several projects, I can't complain about the performance of these. The included inserts leave a decent finish, and last quite a while.

Good for the money, buy some better inserts when you buy these.

Im using these on my 8" x16 import low cost mini lathe and they made a big difference andwork very well.

Durable inserts and useful shapes, fits perfect in my Grizzly G-0602 lathe with quick change tool post.

Not bad for the price. I bought extra carbide inserts expecting the ones that came with the set to be very low quality, but I was impressed with the amount of chatter they held up to.

I purchased this because I don't have access/space for a bench grinder right now, so I'd have something that I could just buy cheap replacements for when needed. Pretty good little toolset - (comes with 5 different style turning tools inside the wood case). Turns aluminum and steel just fine (I tested on 12l14, and 303 stainless). Definitely the tool is adequate for smaller hobby lathes like the Atlas 618 or the 7x10 type lathes.
