Maesri Yellow Curry Paste (Kang Karee) 4 Oz.- Pack of 4

Great curry paste. Strong flavor.

For an easy curry paste this is an absolute must. We stock this pase (yellow) in our pantry year round. Mix this with a couple cans of cocunt milk and throw in some chicken for an easy and delicious dinner. Serve over rice with naan and it's a great meal.

If you make it according to the instructions, you get about 4 stars of heat. So if you like less heat then adjust accordingly.

We used one can of paste with two cans of coconut milk… Still pretty strong, but very good.

This product was recommended by a chef friend. He was right. It did the job perfectly! We used it in a chicken curry recipe. It was delicious! We were very happy with the results. Not too spicy. In fact, I'm not on the spicy side of the scale but my husband is and we were both pleased with the compromise this paste offered. We probably could have added a bit more heat to the recipe and I could have handled it. The paste was easy to work with. Of course, you need to transfer the unused product into a different container because it shouldn't be left in the original can.The main reason for not giving 5 stars was due to the shipping. It arrived as specified but all the cans were banged up during shipping. The cans were packaged in a very thin bubble wrapped envelope, so they took a beating in during the journey to us. They should have been in a box.

Excellent yellow curry paste. Use the entire tin with 2 cans of coconut milk for milder, 500ml as recommended for thicker, spicy.
