I bought this as a replacement for a water bottle I carry to work to replace a previous bottle that had a tendency to leak and didn't keep the water cold for very long.This does do better:The Pros:1. Keeps water cold for a long time (like overnight or all day)2. Built in straw goes all the way to the bottom3. Easy to clean4. Can add lemon wedges, ice easily5. Sweat proof6. Fun colors7. Can be clipped to the outside of a bagThe Con:1. Cannot be tossed in a tote, bag, etc., without worry that it will leak because:- Will leak if you do not make sure the straw is completely closed (see attached pics)- Straw has an easy to open mechanism that causes it to open even if you completely close itSo, in some ways it's better but I still have to worry about leaks.

Love this bottle. Cost half the price of a Hydroflask and has the straw feature I was looking for. Ice still cold the next morning. Got the rough finish so no issues with it slipping. Update 1/15/2018. Unfortunately I have to lower my rating from 5 stars to 2 because the cap shattered with a small fall, making the bottle unusable. Cap is a brittle plastic that breaks too easily. A shame, because the bottle itself is great. Maybe should come with multiple caps?

I was looking for a replacement for my plastic water jug that cracked and I came across the Go Active Stainless Steel Water Bottle. After reading the good reviews and comparing with similar products I decided to purchase this bottle because I like the colors, the price was really good, and I like the rubber grip on the outside because I will use this bottle a lot on hikes or runs where I am sweaty and don’t want the bottle to slip. I bought the white one for my sister too because she works out with me a lot and she thought it was a pretty color.The second day I had the bottle I was out on my deck reading and I knocked the bottle off the deck into the drive way 2 stories below! I thought for sure the bottle was done, but to my surprise the only part that was damaged was a crack on the plastic lid! The rubber part was fine! I called to the Go Active customer service and asked if they sold replacement lids and told them my story. Rather than charge me the customer service rep, Justin I think, had a good laugh with me and said that they would be happy to replace the bottle for free! I received my replacement today and it even had a hand written note to “watch out for ledges” signed by the customer service. In this day and age where being a customer usually feels like you are just another number, these guys really went the extra mile and I am happy to give them my repeat business.All in all I am very happy with my purchase and the performance of the bottle and I have already bought another bottle for my friend’s birthday gift because she does a lot of yoga and especially during her hot yoga classes this bottle will be perfect for keeping her water ice cold. I really wanted to love this bottle but unfortunately this wasn’t the case. Now please keep in mind, every morning I refill my bottle and use it throughout the day... you can say this is my daily driver. I read the reviews and thought this was worth trying. There are 3 things I look for in my bottle: a straw, how cold it stays, and that it fits in any cup holder. This bottle ideally would have been my life saver, but I was grately disappointed. Pros: The look is stylish and I love that I had no issues with cup holders anymore. The grip on the bottle was really nice too.Cons: the straw is flimsy. So too much ice gets the straw out of place easily and you don’t notice it until you sip nothing but air. It just became a mission with unscrewing and screwing the lid. Then I noticed the water not as cold, until it only lasted 2-3 hours of cold and the ice will melt. I also saw the outside seam getting rusty. It didn’t effect the taste but I was constantly having to check and verify that nothing on the inside was rusting. Then a few weeks ago I tried to drink and once again, nothing but air. I checked the straw and it was intact. The actual mouth piece detached from the cap where it’s supposed to connect with the hole. There was no way of fixing it, so the bottle was tossed.Recommendation: don’t buy, you’ll be wasting your money

Newest update: I contacted the company and they sent me a free rubber gasket and now it works perfectly again. Highly recommended bottle. Update: it was perfect until the rubber seal got all floppy and now it won’t stay in the lid. It leaks all over and I can’t return it.I LOVE this bottle and I’ve gone through many. Previously, I had the Contigo bottle, but it was literally exploding all over me and my dashboard whenever I pressed the button to open the straw. This one is a lot smarter, and much easier to clean. I love the matte finish on the outside, and it makes it much less cold to hold. And although this might be silly, I really love the color. Even though they call it blue, it’s more like a blue/purple color. Maintains its cold too.

A huge flaw in design for this water bottle is the fact that the top leaks (whether closed or opened). If there is any liquid in the bottle and the bottle is tipped on its side (say, it fell over in a bag or in the car), water immediately begins to leak out of the clear nozzle, even if the nozzle is closed. I always have quite a few things to shlep back and forth from work and do not carry the bottle in my hand but rather place it in a bag with my lunch to free up my hands and cannot tell you the number of bags and papers I have ruined after my bottle fell over in the car or fell over in my bag while walking to the office. It's frustrating when, by closing the top, you would think the bottle should not leak. Had I known about this flaw, I never would have made the purchase.
