It's Working!
This CD has helped me so much! I have lived with PTSD for years following diagnosis, surgery, then a recurrence and over a year of subsequent treatment. During this time, the disease and the treatments left me dealing 24/7 with extreme anxiety and terror. A dear friend recommended this CD, and it has helped me to learn how to find peace and start to take back my life.

helps
with respiratory problems panic attacks are common for me. who would not panic when struggling to breathe? My doctor had to take me off my mild anti anxiety meds (don't get me started on the cruelty and stupidity of making people with bona fide needs have to stop using anti anxiety and pain killing medications because some idiots abuse them). I have been using hemp oil and the techniques taught on this cd. Not perfect but it does help.

I would recommend this program
On the advice of a friend who is a medical social worker, I tried and found effective the pre-surgery program in this series. Based on that success, I decided to listen to this cd to deal with my claustrophobia during a cervical spine MRI.I'm not a very nervous person, but I do suffer from extreme claustrophobia to the point where for example being on a half empty bus is intolerable. I began listening to this program only one week before the procedure, each time with my eyes covered, and honestly never made it through to the end without falling asleepWhen the day came, the tech played the cd during the procedure, I covered my eyes, and I had absolutely no problem whatsoever. I didn't even have anxiety beforehand.So yes, I would recommend this program. I can't believe I was in a tube for 20 minutes without suffering a panic attack. Amazing. I mean, what do you have to lose?

Listen Everyday, it works!
At first I wasn't listening with full intent. Then I started to see a Therapist & he was telling me the same type of inner peace I needed to establish first before I can handle my stress & anxiety issues. So I started to really pay close attention to this CD, listened to it often, and especially before falling asleep. It truly works if you use your mind to overcome your anxiety. Everything is an illusion & changing your outlook about situations and listening to her CD is one of the suggestions I would recommend. It takes a lot of work to change your old patterns & getting out of your comfort zone, the key is not give up. Good Luck All!

As a physical therapist, I encourage patients who suffer from panic attacks to listen to this CD. Several patients have reported a significant reduction in frequency and intensity of their anxiety. I have measured decreases in patient heart rates, and blood pressures within a few minutes of listening to this CD!

Soothing
Voice is kind of deep, almost like a man's voice, but it is a woman's voice. Her vouce didn't seem very soothing at first, took awhile to get used to. Now her voice is very calming and relaxing. Would prefer if the description at the beginning was in paper describing the cd and not have to listen to the description everytime. Other than that it's great and has worked wonders for me and my husband. We purchased 2 different cds by this same person.

I'm fussy about vocal inflection and this guide's voice is too flat
I got this to send to a friend who has panic attacks. I listened first to make sure she'd like it. I still haven't sent it to her because the guide's voice as she leads the meditations is flat, atonal, unsympathetic. Additionally, the meditation practice assumes you already know the basics of meditation. My friend would probably do better to have some more beginning guidance. People prone to anxiety also tend to have fears that they're not "doing it right". Other meditation leaders use lots of supportive words telling people not to worry about whether they're doing it right.I'm keeping it anyway. Once my friend gets a little more mediation practice, I'll send it her way.

Damaged
I bought this item for my Mother who is in Hospice care. I was disappointed that when I got to open the CD and put it in to play, that it was scratched when I took it out of the package. I don't have time to return it and exchange for another as my mother is dying and wouldn't have a chance to hear it.
