If you've ever had your iron crash you know just how miserable it will make you feel. I've always had issues with my iron dipping low here and there but this was the worst yet. No energy, shortness of breath a complete lack of desire to do anything at all...not fun. Once I figured out what was happening, I got some tablet supplements just until I could get to the doctor but what you find on the shelves in most retail stores may not be the best choice for you. There are several different types of iron supplements out there and apparently a lot of argument about which one is most easily absorbed and then the question of whether you should be taking vitamin C with it to increase absorption (apparently one major study indicated C does nothing but it continues to be recommended). On top of everything else there is iron you get from food intake and then other types of iron. As a laymen student of natural healing I've always believed that liquid supplements in some cases are more readily absorbed than something that your body has to break down in the digestive system before it can get the benefits and that's why I looked for a liquid. I've been taking a 25mg tablet for about a month (along with increasing red meat and broccoli consumption) and while I do feel a lot better my stamina still is sorely lacking. I saw a statement in my reading that said that pill form iron is only absorbed about 20% which would seem to support the idea of a liquid even better. From what I've read, it can take several months for your body to restore iron stores after they've fallen into the anemia range of low. I wish somebody offered a home iron test but if there are any, they aren't cheap. Several reviewers of this product stated their iron test benefitted quite a bit using this product for only a month so I'll take the shot as well. Be aware that liquid iron supplements have the bad rap of staining teeth so when I take it I make sure to wash it down with a full glass of water afterwards to get it out of my mouth. The grape flavoring does a good job of making the taste not bad and it comes with a teaspoon inside the box. Be aware this provides almost 700% of the daily recommended iron dose but being a liquid I suspect that's why no one seems to be reporting some of the digestion issues that can come with high doses of an iron supplement (gas, stomach ache etc.). This may not be a supplement you want to take every single day unless you are one of those people with that sort of issue going on, definitely do your research, pay attention to your body and talk to whomever you trust to help you with your health decisions. Low iron sucks best to avoid it if you can for sure. update: There is another liquid iron product sold on amazon that claims to offer the same type of iron supplement, it comes in raspberry or chocolate caramel flavor and is a bit cheaper than this one but it's also a lower dose, 500% compared to 700+% daily recommended dose provided by this one. An 8 ounce bottle is available for not much more than you pay for 4 ounces of this product. I plan to try that one but I want to finish this bottle out first before buying more. I just received this item. Very fast shipping, perfect when you are extremely iron deprived like myself. I used to take iron IV therapy but because change in health insurance I can’t no longer continue with treatment. I’m really hoping this liquid iron will help the anemia I’ve had for many years and now with perimenopause it has gotten much worse. I’ll come back here to update my review after 1 month of taking this supplement because I understand the importance of this product for many people well being.As of today I can tell the product taste ok. It very tolerable to drink straight but I wash it off with lemonade.

Worked great to increase my hemoglobin level for surgery. Taste is awful - quite literally tastes like you are drinking someone else's blood. I wish it was orange flavored or something else, I think the berry flavoring makes it worse. But, it is iron, so it's going to have that metallic taste. I drink nightly with orange juice - hold my breath while it goes down the hatch and it's been fine. 5 stars because the results are what matters! And it works!

After a couple of days or taking this I feel great but it's causing me to have cystic acne. Every day theres a new bump. Ive been taking it for 5 days and now I have at least 5 huge pimples around my mouth. If you're acne prone this might not be the supplement for you. Otherwise, I can tell it's working.

It actually tastes good! But I have not had a blood test yet to see if it’s working. But I’ll keep buying it until then.
