Failed twice within a week
I bought this to power four security cameras. The power draw of these cameras was well below the 12v, 2.5 amp rating of the ac adapter. It worked fine for a week and then failed. I submitted my claim to Amazon and they replaced it immediately. The replacement worked fine for another week and then failed. I measured the output and it is about 11 volts with no load. With a load it drops down to between 8 and 9 volts. I decided not to make another claim with Amazon because I would probably just get another bad one. So I opened the defective unit and it was immediately obvious a 680 uF electrolytic capacitor had failed with the classic bulge at the top of its metal can. This was an industry-wide problem about 10 years ago, but it was supposed to have been fixed by now. I had returned the first failed unit so I couldn't look at it, but I imagine it had the same problem. Looks like they got a bad batch of capacitors from one of their suppliers.

Worked, until it didn't! Died after a year and a half and a couple power flickers...
Seemed to work well but it's clearly cheap with inferior internals! Look at other brands!Worked well for a while, to power my Meural (by Netgear) art frame. The size was perfect to fit into the recessed outlet kit (Arlington DVFR1W-1; also on Amazon) that I installed so there are no visible wires -- and it all looked beautiful; the OEM power supply is a dumb shape and won't fit!But after about a year and a half the frame just started flickering with a black screen. Fearful that the frame went out I remembered that I was using this aftermarket/generic adapter. So I swapped it for the OEM (wires now visible) and thankfully the Frame booted right up and worked as expected.Anyhow, so even though it was affordable, honestly for what it is it simply shouldn't fail like this. NONE of my wall warts have ever failed like this. I'll definitely be looking at other brands, this one is now trash.I'll update this review once I find a (hopefully) better alternative!

Terrible sustained output
I bought 4 of these to be used on small hobby projects. I knew they were cheap so I made sure that the listed current capacity (2.5A) was well above the ~750-1000mA that my projects would require. To my surprise they couldn't even manage to output that much continuously. Don't buy these unless you only need 250-500mA out of them.Total junk.

BUY A DIFFERENT BRAND
Absolute garbage. The adapter rattled when I initially removed it from the packaging but gave it a shout regardless. It powerd up my security cameras for about 2 hours at a time before shutting down and restarting. Now it won’t even power on. I’ve since replaced the defective adapter with a known good unit and cameras haven’t had any issues since.

Brought my Night Owl back to life
My Night Owl video cameras were flickering (a couple were just flat-out dead), and not knowing any better I spent a weekend replacing some of the cameras. Hmm, same problem. I finally went online and learned that the power supply can go bad after a few years. I plugged in this power supply, and hey presto, the cameras were suddenly crystal-clear and rock-steady again.

Perfect Food warmer adapter!
I purchased a food warmer from Amazon, but it only brought the dc adapter.I then purchased 2 different ac/dc adapters, at big department stores, to use my food warmer at my job. THEY did NOT WORK. I continued to search and finally purchased this adapter that DID 💪. Super happy I can plug in my food warmer when I get to work and eat hot food for lunch... THANKS TO THIS PRODUCT! THANKS AMAZON!

Great for Gigabyte Brix mini PC
I lost my power supply to this dang wee pc and finding a replacement proved more of a challenge than I woulda liked. Fortunately, this has proven a solid stand-in! the green LED on the transformer sure is bright, though. So I put electrical tape over it. BUT. Other'n that? no complaints!
