Works great for setting steel door jambs. Magnets hold the level in place to allow hands free installation of jamb. Bubble vials are easy to read. Rubber end caps work well to cushion any drops. Would be nice if the vials could light up when working in low light areas.

I have a number of levels of all lengths and brands. This one is now my favorite. Whenever replacing any of the levels in my vast array, I now plan to purchase this brand from now on.

One button lights up all bubbles, seems to be well made, great price for this type of tool.

It works great when you are working in a room that doesn't have a lot of light. Easy to see.

I bought this to put in my home inspection bag for professional inspections. I've done a good bit of home improvement, construction, framing and even roofing in my time. My favorite level is my 36 inch Johnson wooden box level. What I don't like about it is it's size and lack of durability. That's why I ordered this one. It's more compact so I can fit it in my inspection bag. But, and there's the best part, it's durable. It's aluminum, notched on one side, flat on the other and there's a window on the flat side to allow you to see the horizontal bubble from the top. But, the thing that even allowed me to pay $30 for a level this size is the shock absorbing end caps. I don't try to drop my level but it's well protected if (or when...I'm clumsy at times) I do. And, on top of everything else, it looks good. Sounds petty but looks combined with quality and functionality make for a great combination.

This is a well built and very accurate level. The lighted vials really help accurate leveling. The only downside is the batteries will leak and make a mess in the battery holder. I use energizer ultimate lithium batteries for tools like this. They are guaranteed leakproof plus they will last a long time in this application.

I wish I'd had a reason to use this level sooner. I purchased it in January 2020 and since then have mostly done demo work or jobs where I haven't needed a 6' level. Pulled it out today, March 30 2020, while replacing the front door to a house, only to find out that one of the plumb vials is off. I'm guessing that when I received it and tested for true I only tested the other plumb vial and not both. The bubble also seemed to be pretty small, not completely filling up the distance between the plumb marks, but I could've worked around that. I have no reason to believe that the other vials are accurate, so now I've essentially got a $60 orange straight edge with some decorative bubbles.EDIT: As of today, 6/17/2020 I have reached out to Swanson twice through their warranty contact form and have received no response. I understand that COVID has slowed down a lot of things, but I didn't even receive an automatic response from their system indicating that there'd be a delay in processing requests

1st impressions so far the level very good quality and sturdy and accurate! Going to be used for deck build and to level the 6in pillar footings level them to eachother 80 apart ,I will updatesoon!*Update is level is absolutely amazing for the price I've used it in many jobs so far now and it's still in very good shape, and even other trades people never seen a level so long 😂
