This is the best primer I’ve ever used. I am a former make up artist and this product goes on like silk. It leaves your skin, smooth and soft and prepped for your foundation or powder. It is on the pricier side but very well worth the it. It does not fill your pores and it is very effective on keeping your make up on all day, I have never had any breakouts with this and I’ve been using it for years. It’s a must buy!

This is my favorite primer. My makeup lasts longer with no shine and blurs pores.

Hourglass mineral veil primer w spf PROS: -1/2 to 1 full pump will suffice for a number of problem areas on the face/ the whole face to create a smooth canvas to hold foundation and powders in place -non acnegenic for my sensitive, extremely dry skin - prevents the day’s production of mild-moderate sebum, sweat, and even sparse dirt particulate from stripping streaking or melting the makeup off of your face. -clean feel to the touch -light, conservative fragrance -creamy consistency out of the pump -glass bottle for recycling -lasts me 2-3 months -can be worn night or day -contains ingredients that protect the skin from some exposure to the sun -can be applied to the body and décolletage CONS: -requires a small spatula to access the bottom of the bottle when it runs low -May cause a white, pale, blue-purple-white opalescent sheen on dark skin or in different lighting arrangements -can dry the skin of you babe dry/sensitive skin -is considerably expensive and if you use more than a half pump a day, the product may only last 4 weeks -take precaution when ordering cosmetics from anywhere other than licensed/certified distributors or the company website bc there is a large and profitable market for fakes, and some have been known to cause toxic harm to consumers

This seems expensive for the price to amount ratio. HOWEVER, considering that one only uses a small amount each time (just a pinky nail amount will do) this is actually a great value. I got a sample from a Blue Mercury anniversary bag. I tried it and LOVED IT. I was using Benefit primer and that literally feels like sandy spackle compared to this. It goes on so silky smooth and my skin looks flawless under foundation. I have also used spray primers. Nothing beats this! Now, I wouldn't call this a miracle worker IF you don't regularly exfoliate, do masks, wash your face twice a day and use proper moisturizer and skin care products. If you DO have a healthy regime, you CAN go without foundation and have a FOUNDATION look. This primer was what I needed because, as one gets older, the novelty of makeup wears off and one wishes to focus on skincare. This was my case. I wanted to have a flawless look without looking like I was going on TV or a drag show. And still, if you want a heavy MAC look, this will also serve its purpose in giving you a fantastic primer finish for your makeup foundation. However, if you don't like wearing a lot of makeup but want a clean look, this product is for you, too! A true winner. I am glad I purchased this!

Nice texture. Easy application. Seems to work with several different foundations I have (RMS, Lancome stick, Armani). NYX Angel Veil is not a dupe, in my opinion. I like this better. But, neither of them totally control my oil, and this one is pretty expensive. So... if you're not too oily and you're ok with the price, this is really good.

I cannot emphasize enough how long I have been looking for a primer that actually makes my makeup stay on my oily face. I tested this out on a warm day and my make up looked flawless hours later. Highly recommend!
