Skinomi Full Body Skin Protector Compatible with NVIDIA Project Shield (Screen Protector + Back Cover) TechSkin Full Coverage Clear HD Film

I bought this pretty much solely for the screen protector. Which is excellent quality and easy to apply with the included fluid. As far as the rest of the wrap, the quality is excellent. But is also very difficult to apply, it took me a good hour to install. The outside wrap fits well and is almost invisible if installed correctly. The film is fairly forgiving as long as you keep it and your fingers wet with the included application fluid. I peeled it up gently and reapplied a few times. Go watch their youtube installation video first if you think you won't be able to handle it.However, and this is where the three star rating comes into play, The inside pieces under the lid look terrible no matter how they are applied. The center film is two pieces one for each half of the device and the seam runs right down the middle. No matter how you apply it the seam is quite visible, even when the pieces are pushed up right next to each other. The inside piece should be one continuous piece of film. Other than that I like the rest of the set and feel good knowing at least the outside of my Shield is protected from accidents.

The screen protector portion went on easy and cleared up nicely. The rest of the skin however was a challenge. It doesnt really line up correctly and is a pain to install around curved surfaces. You cant really use the liquid for this so it took a bit of trial and error. If I could do it again I would stick with just the screen protector.

Not sure if I did something wrong but it looks pretty terrible. I spent 2 and a half hours installing this, it was tough. The finished product though just looks disgusting. I hope this clears up the longer I wait, but it’s already been well over 24 hours and I don’t see any sign of change. See pics I’ll upload to see what I mean.

I understand that Skinomi makes good products for phones and tablets. They don't have it down for the Shield yet. First, the only instructions online are for a tablet, which I followed to a T. Water got under my screen, and nearly bricked my system. It dried in a day or two and all was well. I decided to remove the outer film from the outside of the lid. There were symmetrical areas of black flakes around the edges of the skin. Sure enough, the black finish on the outside of my Shield was pulled off. I don't think Skinomi is a bad company, but they need to address these issues. My Shield is worse looking now and I wish I had just left it alone.

I've tried numerous screen protectors, and none of them look as clean or crisp after you've installed it than this one. If you install this one right, it looks like it's not even there. I have this name brand protector on my Nvidia Shield, PS Vita, and PS4. In every case it works flawlessly. I've tried all sorts of other protectors, now that I've found this one, I'll be looking NO LONGER.Bottom Line: I tried the rest, only to have my device look so bad afterward, that I just ripped the thing off. Skinomi Tech Skin is by far the best, cleanest looking protector on the market.

Great item.. Fits perfectly... Make sure or hands are clean and if you don't have much experience putting on these skin's I'd recommend getting help... Mine turned out horrible but I only wanted the screen protector anyway

this sucks, its hard to put on and it looks bad

Applied to my brand new shield as per instructions but it had bubbled alot on the lid part of the device.Removed it as told to by skinomi themselves and it ripped the paint off the lid! Told i would get a replacement by skinonmi then when chasing it up was told they dont cover damage and wont replace it. total jokers. look for skinomi nvidia shield damage on youtube very soon to see what happened! AVOID
