Slick... and accurate
I am still amazed at how much more quickly and accurately I can measure the length of a room than by manual (tape measure) means. Press "Read" once to turn on the laser pointer. Aim at the object you want to know the distance of. 3. Press "Read" again. Bingo! And you can get it in any format you like, metric or English, decimal or fractional (like feet, inches and fractions of an inch). Size of the display of fractions is a bit small, but still readable. Or, if you want to add a series or measurements (to get perimeter) or get the difference between two measurements, it is all right there, the result AND each of the component measurements! And one button causes the unit to add the length of the meter to your measurement (for example, if you want to measure wall to wall with the unit up against one of the walls). Backlit display is nice. I haven't used the area, volume and hypotenuse calculations, but frankly, if you have a calculator, you can do such things easily. The only thing it doesn't work on is something highly reflective, like a mirror or something completely absorbent of a laser, like a flat screen TV. The size is nice; it fits in the palm of your hand. Much smaller than it seems in the ad. I never used the instructions. Basic functions are pretty intuitive. The "beep" is mutable. If you take measurements across rooms, even very large ones to points in inaccessible places, or outside dimensions of homes or yards, then you need this.

I really like this
This laser measure works really well for me. I see some people put in reviews where they had questions. I'd encourage them to use the question feature for this product as many of us that own this may be able to help. It does have graphical illustrations to give you and idea of the settings you have. This will measure from either the front or back, an icon on the top left will show what you picked. It also will show a single line for distance, a rectangle for flat area like square feet, and a box for volume area. I usually use the flat area for calculating paint needed for walls and square feet for flooring. For smaller things like measuring for blinds I use a standard tape measure.I also don't think it's well documented, this will measure in feet, inches, and fractions of an inch. See attached image.

Easy to read user manual and vary accurate when calibrated.
Overall it is a great time saver and very accurate, but the only thing that I would have liked is to have the back light to stay on longer. Every Carpenter or DIY'er should have one of these in their tool belt or toolbox, it works great in doors or outside. No more fumbling with a tape measure vertically or on a wall and ceiling horizontally, it's just a nice and easy way to measure just about anything.

Easy to use and money well spent!
Why did I wait so long to order this product? This is an extremely helpful tool! I’ve done 4 projects I’ve been sitting on for months, in the week since getting this laser measure. It is so easy to use and extremely accurate. What a great deal. I’d say I already received my monies worth!!

As good as name branded laser measures
I could not be happier with my purchase of this laser measure. I was originally looking at more expensive laser measures in the $50-$90 range to help in a home remodel and even thought about going a bit higher to get one with greater range (more than 60 meters), but then I decided to get this 60 meter measure would be a great starter device at a lower price point and better value.I’m so glad I decided to go with this unit. If this unit stays in the $30ish dollar price range, I don’t think you can go wrong... the device has been very accurate and versatile. It allows me to measure confidently with a digital level (measured in degrees), and it’s able to measure past it’s stated range. This suggest that the strength of the laser and receiver are both good enough for the in-home use that I will expect to use it for.

Awesome Multi-Use Tool, Great Tool at a Great Price
I purchased this to do ADA verification of a building under construction. It was a godsend. Having both the laser length measure and angle finder on the same device made it much easier to go through and verify all the accessibility requirements. I found the accuracy to be excellent. The one thing to keep in mind as you use this tool is that when it's turned off and on again the tool reverts to measuring from the bottom of the device, so you need to reset it if you're measuring from the top or your dimensions will be off by a couple of inches. Also- excellent value for money.

Easy to use indoors, however laser is hard to see/use outdoors
I have mostly pros and one con, but the con was important to mePros:- Inexpensive yet does everything it says it does- Pretty accurate, from distance to angles- Easy to use, from measurement to memoryCon:- Laser beam is pretty weak. In a garden project at a distance of 25-30 feet (< 10 meters), the dot was hard to see on redwood surface. This makes using it in outdoor conditions much harder. Hindsight, I would have preferred to spend more and gotten a more powerful beam.

I Love This Gadget!
Its been out of the box for two days and I LOVE it. We are going to be looking at buying a home and I wanted to use this for a floor plan. So WHY did I only give it four out of five stars? I'm a little older and have a difficult time seeing anything below a 6pt font. When I measure something in the "Feet-Inch-Fraction" mode, I cannot read the fractions because they are very small. I could tell this was designed by a young person with perfect vision. The fraction numbers could have been made larger on the display. No reason for making the fraction so small on the display. We are ALL going to get older someday and this effort and thought. That's my only pet peeve. Other than that, it is really easy to learn, takes 3 minutes or less. When I discovered each button has two modes: Tap and Hold, to do different things I was very happy. TECCPO has sold me on this so I may look at their other products!
