They are tough to open, but they work!
I purchased these to tackle the deer mice issue near my house, living in the woods adjacent. We've set up bait stations in the garage and under the deck. While no mice make it into the main house, we occasionally find them in the garage and the room housing our oil tank on the ground level next to the forest.I noticed some bait stations were empty, tipped off by mice caught in snap traps. To address this, I placed these on each side of the house, hidden under rocks, sticks, and leaves. This way, they first go for the exterior bait stations. If they make it inside, they either go for the smaller bait station or snap traps. Since placing these outside, activity has stopped on the interior bait stations. Overall, I consider it a success!

Cost Savings but hard to Open
These work well but are difficult to open. I use the included key and a screwdriver to pry open. Still the cost of four boxes was equal to one month's service from my local exterminator. It there were a better way to open, close, and lock these boxes I would have given all 5 star reviews.

Hard to open and cost way too much
Way too hard to open I’m going to go ahead and keep them but I won’t be buying anymore because I found them for $13 apiece elsewhere

Great station and easy to use.
Had a bunch of these that an exterminator left at my house years ago and needed to add some to the property. They work great! The new ones were a little tough to open at fist but eventually they got easier. You may want to get a few ground anchors to tie these too. The raccoons have done a number on them and seem to be able to get the bait out by throwing it around. Never any actual damage to the bait stations thougH. I’ve tied them to ground anchors and that seems to have solved the problem.

Missing Parts
The package came with only 2 rods to hold the bait inside the box, the key was missing to open. I was able to measure the rod and make one out of a wire coat hanger then hot glue to hold the coat hanger. I was able to use a screwdriver to open the box. For the money to have to make your own parts is not exactly the value for this product. I am hoping the hanger wire will work once I put it to use. Great Concept but not if you don't receive the products in working order. I feel I should get 1/2 the refund!

It worked!
I had a horrible problem with rats living under my shed. This product, along with a good poison (I used Contrac), and after just 3-4 days, I have only a small fraction of the number of rats. I will continue to use it until they are gone! My only complaint is that it is indeed very hard to open the stations. I found tho, that if I use a flathead screwdriver along with the key, it's not so bad.

The rodents - mice, rats, voles - will use it willingly, and the bait is held securely inside
These aren't easy for old, arthritic hands to open, but manageable. The bait is secured well inside, and the large dual entrance/exit holes are appealing to vermin, I think. They seem to keep the weather out reasonably well, and are the best I have found for the money. One problem I have is the bait getting eaten by slugs and snails!
