Good Tensioners Are Getting Hard to Find
I tried a similar product from a usually-very-reliable and popular online parts supplier, but the part I got was a few thousandths too large and didn't fit at all. These tensioners fit perfectly and appear to be made out of the same, slick, hard plastic that the VW/Audi ones are. I am running them in a race car that lives it's life at full throttle and 7,000 RPM now, and I don't see signs of failure yet.I am usually hesitant to buy car parts on Amazon, but this kit worked out great! Plus, it came with that silly little tensioner tool that you'd otherwise have to go buy or get around using with zip ties. Trust me, the tool makes the job easier.

Great option
They are very nice just stupidly hard to press on, makes you think you didn't lock it in correctly

Know What Your Doing
I did both banks of a 4.2 Audi with the same tool I might add. Worked perfectly, You just need to know when to stop. Tool wont compress further than the part (Adjuster) will allow. As long as you understand that basic fact your golden. Guides are a tight fit as they should be.

This product will cost you another vehicle.
This product is total crap.....if they can't even get the tooling correct how are we supposed to use the crap parts inside engine?? ( The engine will self destruct in 20 miles......)

Works good
Tool is hit or miss. Guides are of good fit and quality. Used on my S4 (22hour trip and so far 5700miles) and on my A4 Avant (180 miles)

Pads perfect,tool junk
Pads fit like they supposed to, turned the tool halfway down. Then it broke.

Crank it down slowly !
Much stronger than the other one I had which broke imeadatly . This one had instructions too.Don't over tighten ! Do it slowly. And it'll last longer.Pads were right so I put them in hot water and then they slipped on easily.
