Great starter kit for the money but the items are of low to decent quality but the worst has to be the nippers they feel very cheap and the spring is very weak and had rust in some spots but for the moneys worth for the cutting mat everything else is a bonus

For what you get in this package and the quality of the tools, the value is ridiculous. I shopped around a bit at brick and mortar stores and obviously this was a great deal. But even online looking at the other packages this was the best. 2 things that made this the best choice was that it came with that green mat you can cut decals on and, you are hearing this right, an electric motor nail file that is similar to a cheap Dremel tool. I thought the electric nail tool would just be a gimmie and I wouldn't use it, but I was wrong. Shaving off some of the extra plastic on some of the parts of the model I worked on was a great use for this. The metal sanding files are amazing. I'm not super crazy about the knife that came with it, but I am chalking that up to a preference thing. Overall, 5 stars. I gave it 4 on the "For Beginners" part only as some of these tools you just have to have been making models for a bit. But honestly anyone can use these. Came in a cool nylon pack that holds everything too (unexpected!).

Nice assortment of tools. I especially like the flush cut nippers. They give a really clean cut. The only drawback is the sanding sticks. The hold up fine but don't get a fine as I would like. I wish there was one more stick with a finer grit. All in all, well worth the price.

So I bought this kit along with the Tamiya beginner kit just in case one or the other wasn't good. Turns out I wound up with two good kits.Pros:Excellent bang for your buckPortableHigh quality cutting boardThe tools are nice and sturdy.Cons:The nippers are pretty dull and a little bigger than you need for cutting gunplaparts out of their runners.The tweezers are, I feel, unnecessarily sharp so be careful.The cutting board while high quality is somewhat smaller.Ultimately a nice kit. Especially just starting out. It comes with a "drill" I have yet to try it. It's doesn't look or feel like much. It looks like it was supposed to be a tool for manicures. But again for the price it's not bad. The biggest downside to this kit is the nippers.

Just getting back into modeling after (too) many years and these tools are perfect … the pliers, tweezers and knife are easy to handle and the cutting board fits well on my laptop desk … but, the grinder was the most pleasantly surprising tool in the kit … not only is it great for smoothing plastic trim, it works as a paint stirrer using a small rod I had around. At 70, I welcome any advantage I can find to work with fine details and small parts … this kit fits the bill PERFECTLY !!

The media could not be loaded.  This is an amazing little starter kit for your lock-down crafts.. It has everything you need to put together the little doll house models (also sold on Amazon). I also included pictures of the different glues I bought. Also the wooden book/computer stand is amazing
