Alesis DRP100 - Over-Ear Reference Headphones Built for Professional Electronic Drum Monitoring and Superior Audio Isolation

I bought these after my gaming headset wasn’t doing the trick for my Alesis Nitro Mesh drum kit. These headsets are perfect for the aforementioned electric drum kit. If you have been on the fence about whether or not you should buy these, I would highly recommend. I was using some gaming headphones that cancel noise when I play video games but they didn’t cancel any noise for my drums. I could hear the pads being smacked and the audio wasn’t good. When I would listen to music and play along, it was faint and I couldn’t hear the drums, felt like I was listening through a supermarket radio in the back rooms. The alesis headset fixed all of those problems. They cancel the noise so well that it feels like you are playing real drums. The audio played through your phone is crisp and clear as you could ask for. These are perfectly designed for this drumset. I can’t say anything on durability as I’ve only had this for a month, but I trust this brand

The appearance is very smooth and simple. Although they feel a little bulky when wearing them, they are a great fit for my ears and are very comfortable when in use. They also have a great sound, every drum can be heard perfectly well. Amazing. 10/10 Recommend and would definitely buy this again.

These headphones are great for the price. At least one reviewer was mad because he said the headphones did not include a 3.5mm adapter as stated on the box and in the product page, and he had to go buy one. ATTENTION: the 3.5mm adapter is INSIDE of the 1/4 inch plug...just unscrew the 1/4 inch plug and the smaller plug is inside! The package and the Amazon page were correct.

I liked how comfortable the headphones were and they were pretty good at noise cancelation. However, 13 months after they started only playing out of the left ear and I only used them pretty infequently. I checked the computer settings and tried them on my phone just listening to Pandora and the problem persisted. I just emailed customer support, will update this after I can let you know how helpful customer support is.Update: I emailed customer support and they 100% took care of the problem so I'm going to raise it from 2 stars to 4 stars (minus 1 star because of going thru the product failure at 1 year mark). I did have to go to Fedex but Alesis provided shipping and just returned a pair of working headphones. Customer service was on point for me and if I get another year of them then shoot for 65 bucks or whatever they are now that's not too bad.

UPDATE:I got a second pair. Same issue as below after 6 months of use. I’d wiggle the wire and they’d work. But not, that doesn’t even work. What a joke. You guys are a pathetic excuse of a business creating a product. DON’T BUY. SUPER FRUSTRATING!I’ve had these for a few months now. I must say I loved him at first. Cancel out the noise, and produce an amazing sound on my electric drum set. Sadly after a few months of use one headphone went out. Really sucks playing drums when you can only hear out of one headphone. Music, and my drums, and one headphones. Very annoying. We totally return if I could, but it’s too late. Buy something else.(UPDATE)Got a second pair. They lasted about 2 months before more issues. I chalked it up to it just being my drum set. Well, after upgrading my electric set, these crap headphones kept having the same issue. Only sound out of one headphone. Unless I keep my head perfectly still, the headphones cut in and out.DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Got with a different a brand. I will NEVER buy Alesis again.

All I have to say with these headphones, is that they could have a coiled cord design so you can stretch wherever you need it. But these headphones are so clear and comfortable that I can drum for hours on end and still be satisfied. Thanks Alesis. These are great. They completely isolate my ears from the tapping sound of hitting the alesis hihat! It had been driving me nuts hearing the tap, tap, tap! Now all I hear is the symbol sound.They are warm as big but very happy with them.Sound quality is awesome for the drums.Happy with the purchase - recommend.

I got these after my Sony playstation headphones broke, they don't sound as good as the Sony's but they are very decent and for the price I can't complain. fit well over ears, they don't move and the cable is long enough for most uses, I added an extension braided cable so that I have extra length and I can connect them to my drum module while being able to place the cord behind me. you can turn the volume to ear shattering levels and they will still sound great. they bring every nuance of electronic drums and work well with other music sources, they might seem a little too much in the mid range as they are not as bass heave as say Beats, but because of that, they don't distort when playing electronic drums.
