Awesome pencils! These are the soft lead, glides as you use them. Depending on how much you press or put pressure on these pencils you can create different tones and shades within 1 color pencil. Great for adults and long use won't hurt your wrist. I have used another brand and can't color with them for a long time because it hurts my wrist. The color are really pretty. They also offer free download pages you can color and those are really pretty too. Good pencils, good for brain exercise and relaxing. Highly recommended! If you like to color get these pencils!

I like the set. I just found that for some of the more detailed coloring designs, I needed more color options.

I'm not an artist or an expert in art supplies in any way. Now that your expectations are properly set I have to say that I'm not really impressed with these as far as colored pencils are concerned. They are just as good but no better than my Crayola colored pencils which I have been using for over 20 years. Granted, all I use them for is to color in my coloring books. And now that adult coloring books are all the rage I have lots more interesting things to color than I did in my precious moments book. I do enjoy the subtle range of colors, especially the multiple pinks and purples (my favorite colors) and I think that if I put them together with my Crayola set, I will have a spectacular range. For the price, I would have liked them to make more of an impression on me. I also asked my artsy friend to look them over in case I was missing some crucial factor important to artists and she thought the same as me though she agreed they are better than the crappy cheap ones that tend to break all the time when sharpening them.

The pencils are average quality, but I prefer Crayola over this set. Also, after 4 requests, I still have not received the site to download the free coloring pages. We have exchanged emails for a month now, but as another reviewer stated, the only replies I have gotten from Artvivid have been requests for my coloring selection and for a review, followed by instructions on how to select the set I want. Excellent Quality I’ve purchased these for my class. We have been using Crayola for a while, but some of the kids who take their drawing quite seriously have complained a couple of times, so we decided to look for something better. After looking around, we all settled for this Artvivid set as it seemed to have the perfect value and price ratio. We made the right choice - Kids love it. The quality is excellent and the free printable coloring pages make a great bonus! Everyone's excited to enter their artwork into the competition. I think, I will even enter mine. I purchased these colored pencils because I was glad to find a set with so many colors, at a good price. Other reviews for the pencils were primarily positive, and I took the word of other happy customers that these were comparable to other name brand pencils. While the pencils do have plenty of colors, that isn't the only quality I was looking for in my pencils. Since I have gotten these pencils, I have not been very happy with them. Other reviews stated that these were sturdy and wouldn't break easily. Most of the pencils that I have used were already broken, or they broke while using them. In addition, when I sharpened them, they continued to break, making them hard to even use anymore. I am not thrilled with the fact that I spent good money on these pencils, when I could have used the money for a better brand. I hate to be negative, but that's my experience with the pencils. I will be looking to buy a different brand next time around.

good pencils. some came with a nice little rough edge, what looked like someone took a piece of sand paper to an edge of the pencil and did some work. not very fond of that aspect but the color does blend nicely and smooth. I was satisfied.

Some of the leads in this set are wonderfully soft and glide on the paper as I had hoped. About 1/3 of them have very hard lead and do not color well at all. I must say I am disappointed that not all of the colors are consistently soft and smooth as they are listed as a soft lead colored pencil. Perhaps it was a fluke, I do intend to contact the seller and ask. I will update my review after I speak with them.
