Valve Cover PCV Membrane Repair Kit Replacement for 2007-2016 Mini Cooper Base Paceman Clubman 1.6L N12/N16 Non-S

Installed on my 2007 Mini Cooper r56 base engine. This fixed the issue of engine surge and lower fuel mileage. Was also using oil. All of those problems disappeared after this new part was installed.

Easy to install

My wife's 2010 Mini Clubman (R55) now idles smoothly in the morning - No more surging. The cloud of blue smoke that followed her car appears to have all but disappeared!The time spent replacing this part is what makes this DIY maintenance so pleasing. A total of 10 minutes from start to finish!

Kind of goes without saying, but I ordered the wrong one (this one), but was impressed with this. I came with the spring. The kind that fit mine didn't, so I had to cut down another spring I had. This comes with everything you need to pop it on.

Even comes with the spring.

Perfect substitute for PCV. NO NEED for mini valve cover ($500+ part at dealer)… took me 10 mins to install.

The cap did not go back in flush like the original when it snapped in place. This valve didn’t work and made my engine much worse. I wish I just bought a new valve cover originally instead of buying this as it took my a while to figure out that my fuel trim issue was due to this valve. For around $95 I ended up getting a new valve cover with the valve built on and a new gasket and now my engine runs fine. I can’t recommend this.
