Generac6347 50-Amp 125/250V Aluminum Power Inlet Box - Weather-Resistant Outdoor Generator Connection, Silver

I purchased this Item with 50 amp twist lock plug. I needed 60 amp, so I did modify the unit with a 60 amp outlet and the depth and size of the unit worked great for four # 4 wire. Took a little modification but works great.

Great product no problem installing

Well built and enough room for the wires. I have used already during a power outage and it worked well.

The box looks nice and is sturdy but was missing 2 of the screws to clamp the wires down. Picked them up at the local hardware store

Spring in spring loaded cover came flying off when opened by my electrician who was installing which defeated the purpose of keeping it shut outside in the year round weather ....my electrician said it happened to another client a few months ago as well ....now it is past the day of returning it and now I see the other review from July 2013 stating the same problem ....Generac is so busy their quality control of going way down .....also issue with the 10,000 generac generator I purchased as well.

I took it out of the box it was delivered in and flipped open the flip-door and the spring guard fell off. Someone had tried to fix it but screwed it up. Now I am dealing with Generac to try to get the flip-door replaced. They may be able to honor the warranty. I can't find anywhere on Amazon to get it straightened out.
