Our family is one of many who gets duped in the Fat Free, MSG Free, BPA Free marketing antics of Big Business. Just like MSG has 50+ new names so products can claim MSG-Free yet still have all the debilitating effects, if not more inflammation, so is the plastics food container industry duping us with the BPA-Free Marketing campaign. I replaced all of our plastics with BPA Free plastics, only to find out by calling the manufacturers that they replaced the BPA with BPS or BPF. NO MORE!!!The only materials I will use for food/drink containers, and utensils is glass, stainless steel and top-grade silicone.Frego is ideal for work and school food containers for families on the go. We are a family that eats exclusively a Whole Foods Plant Based diet with very extremely minimal amounts of sugar (sucanat or stevia) and salt and no veggie oil, no processed foods. That means all restaurant food is considered fast food.Frego's seal connects the outside silicone container with the lid. The glass is nested inside. So there are no toxins, contaminants leaching into your food.What you will notice when you get the Frego 2 or 4 cup container is how it is so well made. It is over engineered, that is how good the quality is. It will last a lifetime.It is my hope they expand to large storage containers with extremely large openings. Most glass only container's lids are too small. So there is a need for XXL large lid food containers.I am a repeat customer and now own four 4-cup and four 2-cup Frego Food Containers. All of our so called BPA Free Food Containers were donated to Goodwill; what a waist of money that was.The Bonus with this product is the Silicone permits writing with dry erase markers on the lids. So we can label names of family members, food contents or expiration dates right on the lids.Design flaws: The interior silicone bowl has structural ridges. Should food get in there, and dried by the microwave, it could be difficult to clean. It hasn't happened to me yet, but I can see it happening when the lid is loose when putting it in the microwave at work. Second, the inside glass bowl has rounded corners, but I wish they had a more rounded contour to make it easier to clean with a soap dispensing wand brush.Highly-highly recommend this product. Its durable and its non-toxic.

This has proven to be a great product for me when bring my lunch to work. It protects the glass container and it make it easy to handle after you microwave your food. Stays cool to the touch. Seals well. It is smaller than it looks because the glass insert is smaller than the overall container. Highly recommend and would buy again especially if it ever comes in diff sizes and shapes.

This is a terrific product. When I pack a lunch for myself, I like to bring a mix of steamed vegetables. I like to warm it up in the microwave so it's nice and hot. The great thing about this product, is that you don't have to worry about BPA in the container since it's glass. And, you can take it out of the microwave without having to use oven gloves since the silicone shell keeps it cool to the touch. What a great idea! Super easy to clean.

So the top and blue part are a rubber that are separate from the glass bowl that holds the food so it is 3 pieces total. Kind of a pain to clean because of the weird ridges in the blue bottom. It is all quality material but personally I am not a fan of the design.

Nice, well-made container. So far, no issues with leaks/spills. However, the glass is very thick (which helps with durability) so please note that the container is slightly heavier than most plastic/aluminum alternatives. Not great for kids but otherwise a solid purchase!

This item surpassed my expectations! I just made salmon in the oven in this, came ot perfect. Put on the silicone sleeve and ate it right out of the container. I love the quality, style, durability, versatility; plus, it's non-toxic borosilicate glass and made in the USA. I hope they make more designes, shapes and sizes.

The concept is very good. However, when I receive the actual product, I was so surprised it's this big. With the outside silicone protection cover, the container is like twice bigger, so bulky. I regret to buy it.

I had 6 of the 2 cup size containers and snapped up 2 of this size along with 4 more of the 2 cup size when I saw them on sale on Prime Day. They are so pricey, but I threw out all of my plastic storage and need more containers to replace them.These are way better than other glass food storage containers because the lids are silicone, too. Cheaper glass storage containers have plastic lids that get brittle and crack in the freezer and have exposed glass when you heat them, so you need pot holders to avoid touching any hot areas.These can go right from the freezer into the microwave. I just wish that they would make some deeper containers that would hold more.They are not leak proof unless your food is frozen, I'm afraid, but I really like these containers anyway.
