Exactly what I needed; easy 10 minute fix with a how-to video and small screwdrivers
The part was the right one for a Nexus 5 (D820) and fixed my problem, which was a USB port that had become unwilling to charge unless I bent the plug upward a bit.It was a bit tricky to get the case off of the phone, but a YouTube video (title "Nexus 5 Charging Port Replacement") showed me where the adhesive was, so I was able to get it open and remove the old part. From that point it was smooth sailing, mostly. The new part was not 100.0% the right size, more like 99.9%, so a little wiggling was needed, but it's clearly made for this phone. After reassembly everything worked except for the inductive charging, which was caused by me not reassembling the phone fully. Squeezing the middle of the phone's back toward the screen (still with the phone fully assembled) snapped that connector back into place and inductive charging works again.100% satisfied with this part. Now I can keep using my phone, and the problem is solved. Thanks!

Fast shipping and working perfectly but not a genuine OEM part for D820
This part is not an exact match for the D820. If you look closely at the part pictured and the part that is removed in the following video: https://youtu.be/qqCEXEmcj4Y?t=5m50s you will notice they're not identical. This part has an additional tab (bottom middle, in gold) which interferes with one of the speakers. I ended up tucking this tab up and over and with a bit of patience and luck I was able to get the speaker plate back on.The phone works so I am satisfied but to advertise this part as a genuine OEM for D820 is not correct.

Anytime a Nexus 5 misbehaves, changing the flex cable will usually save the day!
I have maintained 4 Nexus 5 phones for several years, and every strange behavior problem always seems to result from a damaged flex cable. When my first Nexus 5 started flaking out, the screen would go into a pattern that looks just like static on old analog TV sets. I mistook that for a processor related problem and unnecessarily reflashed the phone. Had I just changed the flex cable, I would have saved myself all kinds of grief. Recently, my phone started shaking so I mistakenly suspected the digitizer when again it was the flex cable.Since the flex cables are so inexpensive, I bought extras. They work well and I haven't had a single problem with any of the cables I've replaced.

Fixed my phone almost perfectly.
I can't confirm if it's a real OEM part as I don't know what to look for and the markings don't match the old OEM part markings. 99% of the problem was fixed after replacing the old faulty part with this one. But, this new one causes a very minor screen shake at random times. It's a rare occurrence that doesn't hinder phone use. So not a real issue but still worth mentioning.

2 steps forward, 1 step back...
Ordered the part to fix my N5's failing micro USB port and inoperable microphone. Those features seem to be working correctly now, but the ribbon for the notification LED (the small gold tab at the bottom, middle edge in the picture) was not taped into place like on the OEM part. Even after finagling it into place to properly fit my new speaker piece, the notification LED is not working. Oh well, I can live without the LED but I could not live with having to use a headset to use the device as a phone.

After installation - able to recharge phone - but speakers no longer functioning properly!
I purchase this as the charging port on my Nexus 5 got damaged. I followed very clear instructions on YouTube on how to install this item. I did notice (and you can see it in the picture) there is a small gold piece jutting out of the center of the part. This actually needs to be folded underneath the unit prior to installation. I got the piece installed, but right away noticed that my speakers were making a crackling sound, I tried playing some music and it was pretty much all crackle and static. However, I was able to recharge the phone.I took the phone apart again and replaced it with the old part and the speakers worked just fine. Thinking that I may have not connected the part properly, I reinstalled the new piece a second time and had the same issues with the speakers.I looked at the two units side-by-side and did notice that some of the items on the backside of the new part were either slightly larger than on the older part or were missing altogether.I've ordered a new part from another company. I will see if I have the same issue. Then I will ATTEMPT to return the part I purchased from this company.

Product is legit. Shipping could be a bit quicker.
I installed this into my nexus 5. It didn't work. My screen lights up with white static. I uninstalled it and put my old one back in. My screen is good. I guess I'll have to stick to wireless charging. Shipping is extremely slow. Took 2 weeks to get this part.***UPDATE***The seller was very quick to send out a replacement part which actually worked. I installed it just like before and it worked this time around. No negative side effects after installing.

Works initially!
Works as advertised. My screen was jumping around, migrating up and down, and the new flex cable fixed the problem. Fit exactly like the original, installed with no issues. Initial quality is great, I hope it lasts. I'll update the review in a few months with a performance report. Minor complaints: Shipping from Hong Kong took about 2 weeks, and the cable was stuck to the inside of the bubble wrap it came in. I had to carefully cut it out with scissors. It's a fragile item, so be aware.
